The best thing that happens every time i book a hotel online is to see in reality something similar to the photos posted and to the reviews i read. This is what happened to me. The hotel's interior is super authentic and colorful. Spacious hotel and room. However, Internet connectivity is little slow for the rooms with street view "they told me they have only suites with pool view" Rooms are spacious so it was ok to bring an extra bed for my 2 years daughter and still can move freely. The breakfast was good.

Room Tip: The internet was slow on the street view rooms. So, maybe you can try the pool view

At the start we had a bit of a shock, because we were given totally racked room (i am attaching photos), but we have asked for a change and when we got another room it was in much more decent condition.

Rooms and bathrooms are large in this hotel.

Price is very competitive.

You need to check if the Balcony door locks just in case before you settle in.

air conditioning worked well.

Location is good, 20 minutes walk to old city centre and 20 min walk to new city centre.

Breakfast was ok. Pretty standard, Included everything one would expect and nothing extraordinary.

Swimming pool is ok. Except that because it is an open pool in the middle of the city pigeons poop in it when they fly over it.

Service for drinks and snacks is slow, but at least nobody bugs you when you are near the pool are.

room service is good, always on time and very reasonably priced.

Hotel has not enough towels so when they clean the room they take the dirty once and bring you the clean once only after they are washed in an hour. but this is not a problem generally.

The entrance hall is nicely decorated and good to take photos and stuff.

Bug but is - Hotel does not smell good. Room smells with Clorine, hall smells with old textiles, breakfast rooms too.

I have seen they have cleaners everywhere but generally the hotel is a bit dirty.

I did not have a bad impression in general but initial shock from the fist room has staid unfortunately.

Oh yes, the spa. It is a bit overpriced, is in seller, smells with Chlorine, price list was dirty and only in French, woman who worked their did not speak English. not recommended.

if you know all this negative points and are ready for it then you will enjoy your stay.

Remember that this is not a 5 star.

The hotel lobby and pool area is beautiful, however, the rooms don't quite match up. The room itself was dusty and dated. The bathroom was old and in need of an update. The breakfast was a average tastes with lots of choices. Had dinner once in their restaurant and it was a good but nothing spectacular.
Would I go back to this hotel? No, maybe not. There are better All inclusive hotels perfect for a relaxing vacation that is not too central, but the taxi fares there is reasonable cheap so when u want to get to central part of Marrakech jump in a cab!!

Brief summary first...

This is a 2-3* hotel in good location but overshadowed by many, many problems, most of which could be solved by new management and a maintenance overhaul. For a romantic or relaxing trip, don't stay here. Pay a bit more for a real 5* hotel. I wouldn't go back.

--------------- Positives ---------------

Location. Walking Distance (30 mins max) to all sights in Marrakech and Gueliz/Hivernage or cheap taxi

Rooms cleaned well

Pool area pleasant and got a lot of sun all day long

Main areas looked magnificent (40 sofas in lobby), but like most other reviews say, this hotel
was probably amazing 20 years ago but once you get out of the communal areas, it all goes a bit wrong.

Pizzas by the pool really nice...as long as you aren't fussy about getting the food you actually order! We ordered pepperoni twice and received anchovies and olives! Some might complain but we like most food so just accepted it. The time we ordered a salad and got a plate of cheese, processed meat and olives had to be returned though.

The weird room round the back with all the amazingly extravagant furniture. Huge unused sofas and tables etc. You have to see it to believe it. Quite fun when a bit drunk!

--------------- Negatives ---------------

The MAIN negative points :

The adjoining nightclub downstairs pumped bass music throughout the hotel until 4:30am daily, and naturally people leaving made a good bit of noise too. Not their fault, but it didn't make for a relaxing sleep.

Service terrible throughout the hotel. Breakfast dishes not being cleared away, pool area littered with empty drink glasses etc, food orders coming back wrong, housekeeping leaving us with no towels in the room (twice), they just didn't seem to know (or care) what was going on.

Poorly managed hotel and clueless, sometimes rude, unapologetic staff. Receptionist was uninterested in solving problems.

Air conditioning did nothing to cool the room. It was basically a fan.

Hotel has generally been neglected and management are nowhere to be seen


--------------- The many small problems that could easily be fixed. If anyone cares i'm talking about room 127 specifically -------------

Smoky, mouldy smell in the corridors.

Key cards for the room failed every day and needed resetting.

A strong shoulder could easily break open the door to the room. Not great security

Main chair in the room was badly cracked and dangerously close to collapsing

One entire end of the bed's legs had totally buckled, meaning it sloped heavily to one end

The patio door's locks were no longer functional. Bit of a security issue again.

Shower door lock was broken so water poured onto the floor

Toiled door room lock had broken and handle was hanging off

They didn't have enough towels for the size of pool area. They kept running out and one guy -kept constantly collecting them in, drying them quickly, and folding them ready for use again.

Breakfast - glasses ran out, one day no spoons available, twice the juice ran out, most days mugs were given for cereal instead of bowls, everything ran out quickly, napkins not clean, tables not cleared so people had to sit indoors when there were many free tables outside.

Basically they need to spend some decent money on the rooms and sort them out. Then it would be worth the money

The location of this hotel is very good if you want to be between the Medina and the new part (Guilez), 10-15 minutes walk to either part. The area around the hotel is very quiet with a number of properties closed down.
The hotel is in need of an upgrade but is very well maintained and clean, service is not 5 star more like 3-4.
Worth it if you are able to book room for under £70 per night.
Book a room with pool view, alternative is a view of another block of rooms!!!
There is a supermarket nearby, hotel does not allow you to bring food/drink but will not inspect rucksacks

the worst room ever even it was a big room, we could hear everything from the people next door and this for a hotel with 5 stars, really pitty...breakfast was really average. Staff from the swimming were nice!

Nice lobby and pool. The staff and service is the worst I have ever seen.
Compared to town the prices for drinks and food are steep.
My room was the worst. Shower broken, door to balcony broken, cracks in the wall and my bedding was dirty, safe isn't fix to the wall, so anyone can walk into my room via roof terras and take my safe.

Roomservice takes hours, had to go fetch it in the kitchen myself. We didn t have towels for a day.

Everytime you call front desk, they promise to help, but nothing happens. Called about 5 times. Just gave up later and accepted my fate.
We also had to share towels at the pool because, they didn't have enough. The hotel wasn't full.

The breakfast was ok, but the juice and milk they use the same as the day before, that is if you get any juice or milk. Around 9h00 everything is finished and doesn't get restocked, so just dried bread.

Don't eat in the restaurant, foods good but service is a disgrace and food are 3 times what you pay in town.

Will not recommend this hotel to anyone. This hotel is way past its former glory. Maybe new everything will help.
