“All the spices you want!”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

The smells and colours are overwhelming! So much choice. Good advice and Argan oil can be found in Taj Apothecary. Friendly, genuince service. The spice market is not to miss in a visit to Marrakech!

“Very pictoresque!”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

This small sqaure (less then 10 minutes walk north east from Jemaa el Fna) is one of the pretties in town! It's very lively with both real shops and street vendors.
The carpets hanging on the wall on one side of the square make a very picturesque site. Since it's right in the middle of the souks it's a good place to rest a little and have a cup of mint tea. There are a couple of goo places for food as well: make sure you seat on the roof terrace and watch life teeming down below.

“Essence of the Market”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Various vendors (albeit some obviously catering to the tourist trade and not locals) but interesting in late morning after they set up- see it before to appreciatei the difference in space etc. Be wary of taking pictures of people there (we were hassled by a kid) Later after our tour guide turned around and berated him in Arabic he did apologize but it was a little unnerving to be harrassed - I understand however, that that is very rare- supposedly the people pride themselves on their lack of that- I guess we were the proverbial exception to that rule

“A delightful square in the suks”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

A lively and lovely little square within the suk. Nice little cafes with free wi-fi. Women selling baskets and lots of spice shops. A nice place you can't miss.
