I first read about Riad 72 in Amex's Departures magazine before planning my trip to Marrakech. Even with prior research, a pleasant surprise awaited when I walked into the beautiful courtyard of this tastefully renovated riad, welcomed by the hospitality of its director Emanuela and the wonderful staff. Riad 72 is very beatiful, with an intimate setting perfect for escaping the daily hustle of the city. The souks, Jemaa El Fna and Koutoubia are all within a comfortable walking distance from the riad. While there are many great places to eat in Marrakech, I highly recommend having dinner in the riad after a day exploring the city - the chef Fatima is amazing, preparing wonderful meals with fresh ingredients selected daily. My stay at Riad 72 made a wonderful trip to Maroc very memorable.
