We stayed in the Riad for 5 days and really liked it. The Riad is about an 8 minute walk away from the Souks and a 5 minute taxi ride away to wherever you want to go in Marrakech (the new town etc.) The Riad itself is very nice if not rather simple - the roof terrace is lovely for breakfast and dinner (they will usually accomodate if you ask to dine there, unless the weather doesn't allow). The staff are absolutely wonderful, incredibly sunny and welcoming - Rachid especially is fantastic. I was personally a little dissapointed by the food in Marrakech, the restaurants (particularly the much talked about ones) are really not great for food, although they are usually beautiful deco-wise; Fatima the chef, remedied this with her chicken and lemon tajine, orange soup, Moroccan salads and especially her royal couscous! Of all the places we went out to eat - Dar Marjana (touted as one of the best, where we dropped about 200 quid), Cafe Arab, Mai Thai etc. - NONE of them came close food wise to Fatima's cooking. We didn't do the Hammam of the Riad, as it is pretty small and there are so many traditional Hammams around the city. I did however get a manicure/pedicure and massage - for all of these treatments, they call in local mobile therapists who you pay directly. For the ladies, the mani/pedi therapist was really not great - no massage, no base coat/no top coat, just a lick of paint and the bill basically. The massage on the other hand was really fantastic, after a 3 am start for our flight and an afternoon in the souks I was a ball of knots and the massage therapist really made all the difference - my partner also benefited from my diminished whining post massage, so everybody was a winner. Salaries in Morocco are very low, so fyi tipping is greatly appreciated!

I would highly recommend this riad. The staff are super friendly. The atmosphere is pure relaxation and quite a contrast with the busy outside world of Marrakech. Rooms are tastefully decorated and the food is amazing. A perfect stay. Thanks to everyone for making our short break so memorable.

Room Tip: For a cosy room we had Lila. There is an impressive suite which would be suitable for families

We stayed for two nights in Oct 2011. The riad is beautiful, furnished and decorated with impeccable taste. The roof terrace is an oasis of calm. We arrived late and had arranged for a meal to be served in the courtyard which was delicious. Pillows need some personal tweaking and the local mosques will wake you at five o'clock call to prayer. But hey, this is Morocco - buy ear plugs in the departure lounge. Stunning riad!

We had such a wonderful time. This Riad is gorgeous and the food is phenomenal! Chef Fatuma is perfect. You really should stay here and have the chicken lemon tagine and couscous. The breakfast is wonderful. Do not miss this gem!
