The rooms were pretty, clean and functional (if a little hot but most Riyads lack air con). The restaurant staff were very friendly and polite, and the guys on the desk were helpful and never pushy. Great location, peaceful and reccommended. You can get cheaper riyads, but it is a good package.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms on the 2nd floor, they are quieter

We booked here due to the high recommendation from lonely planet guide. The website made this place seem attractive, however since staying here I can't say i'm impressed. Our room stunk of sewerage from the bathroom and a view of a pile of rubbish that stunk even more.
The staff were ok, just the restaurant was rather slow.
I won't be back.

It's pleasant clean environment!
If there is free-WiFi, that would be even better.

Jnane Mogador is an attractive riad just two minutes walk from the main square, so easy to find and easy to get home after dark (important since I am a woman traveling solo). The owners are always present and very quickly get to know the guests as they enter and exit. My single room is small but comfortable, with a private bathroom (shower, sink and toilet). I really like the fact that there are two levels of terraces at the top, one for the restaurant and another above for sitting (with tables and chairs and one umbrella for the hot sun).

Note: The rooms open into the center courtyard but air doesn't seem to circulate much, even when the temperature drops after sunset. Therefore, even with the door and window open, I still run the fan regularly. I think it would be uncomfortable in the hot summer without air conditioning.

I stayed one night in a single room located on the first floor in Jnane Mogador. The room was adequate and clean although a bit small (4 steps by 4 steps max) and without a wardrobe. Sometimes it was possible to smell delicate odour from the sewage system (probably not possible to fix thus one point minus on Value Rating) but it was not very annoying.

I found the hotel service polite.

The hotel is easy to find and is located only 2 minutes walk from the Djemaa el-Fna square which is the central point for day and night activities in Marrakesh. This distance is enough in order not to be disturbed by the musicians making noise until late hours in the square.

The hotel is only a short walk from the main square in Medina (Jamel Fnaa) making it an ideal location to explore the key sites on foot. It is a typical riad style with a pretty central courtyard and rooms off.

Our room was an adequate size (not big, but not too small to be cramped either) and clean. Its not lavishly fitted, you wouldnt expect that for the price. The shower was a bit small, and you had to be careful not to flood the floor, but water pressure and temperature were fine.

We very much enjoyed breakfast on the roof terrace. As per a previous review, there were a few bees (get a table a bit back from the edge of the terrace) but hardly a swarm and nothing to be too bothered about. The set breakfast was good value (MAD20) for coffee, orange juice, eggs, pancakes, croissant and some rather nice, home made yoghurt.

The staff are not overtly warm and friendly, but helpful when asked about things.

Overall, I would say the hotel offers adequate accommodation, in a pretty riad, in a great location for exploring Medina.

If you get the airport bus to Jamel Fnaa square, it's easy enough to walk to the hotel if your luggage is on wheels. Less easy to find, your best bet is using a satnav: it is located at N 31° 37' 26" W 7° 59' 14" (note: some online maps have it in the wrong location).
