We spent 2 nights here and were so happy we selected this Riad. We had a wonderful reception with tea and biscuits. The staff are there when needed and extremely friendly and helpful, setting up tea, or wine at the terrace or the plunge pools. Cyril, the owner even walked us through the Souks to a restaurant to make sure we would not get lost with our kids!

We enjoyed the simple, but delicious breaktfast (OJ, yogurt, Moroccan pancake, cake, fruit, eggs any style, tea).

The location is perfect, near a taxi stand, the central square and Souks.

They take great care in maintaining the Riad. Rooms are tastefully furnished and everything is very well maintained.

If you want a romantic, ideal Riad, look no further - the rooms are lavishly big, the showers excellent, the service impecable, the food some of the best we had in Morocco and the location as good as it gets. This all comes at a quite high tab, but is well worth it - some other Riads are more dogdy and easy to get lost on the way to them. If you're not travelling on a shoestring, look now further and book well in advance!

Room Tip: The suites are nice; pick amber if you want a bathtub.

From the moment we stepped off the chaotic streets of the Medina and into the walls of Riad de L'Orangeraie, we knew we had found someplace special! The Riad is incredibly beautiful. Very tastefully decorated and kept impeccably clean. We were welcomed by Ismeal the house manager, who provided us with pastries and mint tea in their welcome room. We were treated so wonderfully throughout our stay. The staff are all so gracious and helpful. Ismeal knew exactly what we needed before we knew we needed it. His restaurant and activity recommendations were always spot on, often our conversation at the end of the day led back to the fact that we needed to thank Ismeal for his recommendations! The food was wonderful. I would recommend booking dinner at the Riad for the first night of your stay (if you are staying multiple nights). It is such a treat knowing that that first night you are going to be well taken care of, and the dinners are fantastic and very well priced, served on the roof-top patio, under the stars. The breakfasts are also very good (with the best fresh squeezed orange juice we tasted throughout Morocco!).

Without a doubt, this is the best place that i have ever stayed.
Right from the time that i booked to stay here, i really could not be more impressed.
The booking and all information that i needed was easy to do and to find, and the team really could not have been more helpful.
Communication with the team here, was the best that i have ever had, they answered all questions that i had prior to my arrival, and made sure that my entry into Morocco was as easy as it could be, our transfer was waiting for us and took us to the Riad.

Arriving into the Riad was Amazing. it really is a haven in the Madness of Marrakech, i am not going to go on and on about how amazing it was, but there really are no negatives that i could find.
The staff are truely amazing, as are the rooms, the shared spaces, the plunge pool and the roof.
The food is absolutely FANTASTIC, you have to order it the day before as everything is freshly prepared, and it was the most fantastic food.
The breakfast is also fantastic, simple, but delicious.

You are close enough to the Souks, but feel like you are miles away from anything. the team at the Riad will recomend restaurants, and i would say to take there advice, they really know what they are talking about.

The team arranged guides to take me to the atlas mountains and i would again urge you to take there recomendation as the guide was great.

I would recommend anybody to stay here and really can not wait to go back and stay again.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are Amazing.

you would be crazy not to book this riad. from our first contact with cyril, the owner, to actually arriving at the riad we knew we wouldnt be disappointed and we werent. the riad surpassed our expectations! the interior is stunningly beautiful but what really makes this riad extra special are the staff who go the extra mile to ensure your every whim is catered for. the food is probably the best in marrakech - from home made jams and yoghurts for breakfast to simply amazing tangines for dinner - all prepared by their resident cook, nadia.

Riad de L'Orangeraie was recommended to me by a friend whose daughter, during a semester abroad in Marrakech, had been in search of the best riad for her parents' visit. My friend had a wonderful experience there so I figured it must be fine and I booked a room without knowing much about it. I arrived in Marrakech two weeks later with no guidebook, no map and no clue about the town, I had been working insane hours at my job in Tuscany and I just needed to get out of my head, sleep, pamper myself a bit. i was a little nervous about being alone but my fears quickly evaporated upon entering this serene oasis close but not too close to the Souks in the medina. I was greeted warmly by Ismail with his sweet smile and contagious laugh. He served me mint tea and I melted into the pillow laden couch while he offered restaurant recommendations and helped me plan my three days in Marrakech. Ismail took wonderful care of me during my visit. On my first day he brought me on a rigorous walk through the Souks to get my bearings, advised me about how to negotiate with the vendors, patiently observed my daily purchases, and even arranged to have a porter bring money to a restaurant for a meal I didn't have enough cash for. Everything was taken care of for me with a smile which is also true of the rest of the staff. Despite the intense heatwave that had descended on the city for my entire visit, my lovely room (I think it was the Cinnamon room) adorned in shades of red was fresh and cool and when I returned from hours of exploring each day a small plate of snacks awaited me. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was simple but delicious and since I couldn't eat the divine-looking yogurt and pastries due to wheat and dairy allergies they brought me ample servings of fresh fruit and juices. Their restaurant recommendations were all spot-on though one of my best meals was the simple salad they prepared for me while I was packing my luggage on my departure day. The best part of my visit was the spa treatment I had at Bain de Marrakech which the riad's owner Cyrus had recommended. I was pleasantly surprised at the moderate cost for one of the best massages of my life and such a luxurious setting. After three idyllic days, it was surprisingly hard for me to leave Riad do L'Orangeraie and Marrakech, and I actually had tears in my eyes when I said goodbye to Ismail and his team. I cannot wait to return for another visit when the weather has cooled off a bit.

By the time I'd been in this Riad 24 hours I was ready to move in permanently. I am unable to think of a single negative thing about my experience and it truly made our honeymoon memorable. The customer service was over the top, better than anywhere I've ever stayed. The staff was helpful in every single thing we requested, be it information, a bottle of wine, or a dinner recommendation/reservation. As for the dinner, the owner himself walked us over there himself so that we didn't get lost! I love it here and can't wait to go back someday!
