Recommended length of visit: 1-2 hours
Owner description: Nicely designed and maintained gardens, similar to those of Generalife in Granada, Spain. It’s a good place to recoup from the intensity of the market atmosphere.

The garden can be found as the last stop (7) on the green hop on hop off bus route which runs in the afternoon currently. Or you can walk it from stop 1 of the red route. It is a lovely place with many plants and cactii, unfortunately lots of people seem to have carved their names on the Agave succulents

The entrance was £25 I think and the garden is quite small but very beautiful. It's very relaxing. It took us only 10 minutes to visit the whole garden so it's quite small and it can disappoint people but I wasn't. I thought it was a good addition to our trip :)

I know very little about gardens or vegetation but it seemed like it was just a lot of different kinds of cacti and palm trees. The majorelle blue house is quite nice but I would not recommend the gardens as an attraction.

This is a small oasis of calm and tranquillity compared to the hustle and bustle of Marrakech life. Leave yourself time to relax and enjoy the gardens as they are wonderful and the wildlife it harbours such a surprise. Don’t miss the turtles in the lily pond. And if you do have time, spend the money going into the Berber museum as it is very interesting although a little expensive compared to Government museums.

A huge collection of cacti and other flowering plants (some against the very vivid cobalt blue backdrops) arranged very thoughtfully, which makes for an excellent meditation on aesthetics and provides myriad opportunities for picture-taking. The entry fee is expensive (by Moroccan standards), but the experience worth it. Interesting bookstore on the grounds as well as a boutique, and a restaurant that serves excellent (though overpriced) juice concoctions. Probably best to go in the morning when there are not masses of tourists, though when we went -- at noon or later -- the garden was not overly busy. Good place to spend a few hours; great way to dodge the frenzy of the medina for a while.
