Owner description: Nicely designed and maintained gardens, similar to those of Generalife in Granada, Spain. It’s a good place to recoup from the intensity of the market atmosphere.

“a little bit of paradise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2014

Very difficult to find as not well signposted until you get there!Very cool and peaceful .Unusual plants mainly Cacti /desert flora.
Colours beautiful, painted pots and an interesting water feature running through the middle. The onsite cafe is a little on the pricey side and toilets are clean.

“A great escape”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2014

The Jardin Majorelle is a great escape from the madness of the Medina and the souks. Such a relaxing spot with plenty of benches and seating spots among the Cactus and bamboo. The Yves St Laurent exhibition in the garden is marvellous.

“Like a green sun umbrella”

My only reservation is that, although the whole point of the place is the brightly coloured Morroccan style ceramics, I couldn't help feeling that I would prefer the garden to consist only of plants!

“A must for Cacti lovers!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2014

This was by far the best part of our trip to Marrakech.
If you don't have a interest in plants, cacti or gardens then this really isn't for you.
Me and my family all love gardens, cacti and plants so this was a perfect way to spend a day.
Reasonable entrance fee, 50Dh, yes it is a small garden but we spent 3 hours there, this did include lunch in the cafe, and we still could have wandered around again!
Full of stunning mature cacti and succulents, a long with impressive cascade of vines and bougainvilleas, I can't recommend a visit here enough.
The cafe was nice, limited selection and not the cheapest place to eat in the city but still enjoyable.

The museum was also good, very informative and a good added extra.
The whole garden was well maintained and in good condition, but why people feel the need to graffiti the agave plant I don't know! It was a shame to see such mindless vandalism to plants of all things.
