Owner description: Nicely designed and maintained gardens, similar to those of Generalife in Granada, Spain. It’s a good place to recoup from the intensity of the market atmosphere.

Smaller than I anticipated but very well kept and worth the 50 Dirham entry fee (we didn't go in the museum).

We arrived at peak time and this did detract from the visit as by then you're constantly tripping over other people.

Some amazing cacti set in lovely surroundings and a great place to get some shade on a hot day. Nice boutiques with local products on the street outside the gardens.

The gardens are stunning and the Berber museum is very interesting and informative, but it is very busy.
Unlike other gardens in Marrakesh, Majorelle is much more sculpted and landscaped and it shows with the number of people there. Great for photographs, but you will have to accept crowds of people in every frame.
personally I preferred the museum to the gardens. The jewelry and costumes were superb and gave an insight into traditional life in Morocco.

Gorgeous gardens top escape the smoke and hustle of the city. Get a taxi though as it's quite a way from the centre.

The colours, the water, the sitting areas, the plants, the quiet and the beautiful courtyard area for coffee/lunch. And it also contains a very good museum on Berber culture
