Owner description: Nicely designed and maintained gardens, similar to those of Generalife in Granada, Spain. It’s a good place to recoup from the intensity of the market atmosphere.

“Peaceful and colourful”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2012

We visited the gardens and had a pleasant walk around. Its a very peaceful and tranquil place to visit after the madness of the Medina and Souks! Lots of varieties of plants and colourful buildings. A room of Love too!

“Green and Colorful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2012

The famous Yves Saint Laurant garden is like an oasis in a hectic city. The bright colors of pottery and huge variety of trees and plants is joy to experience. The garden is not too big and will take 30 to 60 minutes do discover.

“Peace and quiet but a bit pricey”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2012

The Majorelle Gardens are well worth a visit if you're happy to shell out the admissions fee. The gigantic bamboos, cacti and other succulents collected from around the world seemed out of place here but then again they didn't. The hussle, bustle and hassle were left behind at the entrance. Also smiles were left at the door by the staff once they had your dirhams. It was a peaceful 1-2 hours wandering around les Jardins and we decided not to enter the Berber museum ( better to see the real thing in the souks or a trip to the Atlas Mts). You need a taxi or caleche to get to les Jardins unless you fancy a long walk from the Medina square.

The cafe was ok but we just had a coffee

“Restive Retreat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2012

This is one of the main tourist stops in Marrakech and it's easy to see why. Serene and stunning, the world behind these garden walls draws you in with a lush embrace. Plan to spend an hour or more and take the time to explore the plantings from different visual angles. There are views that boldly barrage your eyes while others find their mystique in more subtle fashion.
The Berbere Museum is worth the extra cost of admission and should not be overlooked. Its not what you’d consider an extensive collection, but the variety and display hold your attention throughout the exhibit. We stopped at the café for soup and salad on our way out and it was nicely done. The mint soda drink made the stop more than worth it. Come for the color, stay for the spritzer.
