Description: In the medina of marrakech, in the chaos of tangled alleys, suddenly, over a carved wooden door, a world unexpected. The patio shaded by lemon trees, a music descends from the sunny terraces and the scent of the best italian cuisine. The Restaurant & Cafe I Limoni offer a relaxing corner in a vintage flavor with a touch of modern design. You can listen to selections of the best music of the past and present while enjoying the traditional tuscan dishes of fish and meat, or just a club sandwich of crispy fries. We are open from 11.30 am to 15.30 and 18.30 to re-open for drinks with dinner and to continue until after midnight with music and cocktails.

After 8 days of tajine and couscous, we were very excited to visit an Italian restaurant, especially since we are great pasta lovers and foodies. The ambient is super cute, a garden with lemon trees, roses in a fountain and some typical Moroccan decore. Service was great, waiters were polite and menus really Italien-ish. We had pasta, which was under-seasoned, so we were happy to have some salt and pepper on the table. It was al-dente, that was a plus, but otherwise, we weren't impressed. We had high expectations, but they weren't fulfilled. We sure wouldn't compare that with real Italian food. But the staff was super nice and they made us feel welcome.
The toilets were also super clean and well designed.
So in summary, everything was superb and high quality, except for the actual food.

Thank you for the compliments done to our service and to the decoration. As an Italian I am obviously don’t agree with your comments about the pasta which is homemade and has received only compliments from all our Italian customers and also from most of whole clientele. But we obviously respect your point of you and hope to get a new chance to show the contrary.

Went here twice, and preferred coming for lunch. The light in the courtyard is beautiful and it's less crowded for lunch. Dinner felt more like a factory with waiters buzzing around. Lovely Caprese salad. Efficient staff.

The service here is wonderful and inobstrusive. Choices of Italian and Moroccan dishes, all lovely. I had the sauté sole and it was the best sole I've had. No alcoholic drinks are sold but we did get a sneaky limoncello at the end free gratis! The tagines on the next table looked wonderful but I didn't taste them. Maybe next time as we intend to go back in the next couple of days.

Visited on the recommendation of the owner of the Riad we were staying at. We both had Tajine. My chicken tajine had orange and apricots and was delicious. My wife had lamb with lemon and herbs. Good salad starters also and we were too full for deserts so just had coffee. The restaurant does not serve alcohol, but so what. It was busy on a Tuesday evening so you may have to reserve a table on other days. We were asked if we had reserved. The restaurant is in a courtyard with trees and is atmospheric with the call to prayers audible from a nearby mosque. Great meal in a great location with very good service.
