“Very powerful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

I loved the jewish quarter, and visiting this graveyard defiantly signifies a real part of Moroccan history, if you are interested in this then you should also go to the synagogue, there was a lady there that described it all is great detail for about 30p.

“An oasis of calm and contemplation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013 via mobile

The Jewish Cemetery is an oasis of calm and contemplation in the bustling heart of the Medina.

It's hard to find, but everything in Marrakech is. Aim for the Jewish Quarter, or Mellah, and you'll find a high wall with the occasional door in it. Don't be afraid and walk in, you won't regret it. It's beautiful and serene, and there's a caretaker you can give a donation to for a tour. Great place to escape the stress of Marrakech, and if you're a photographer some great sights.

“Peaceful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

After a 5-10 minute traffic-choked walk from Place des Ferblantiers, this was a haven. There were a couple of groundsmen working in one corner but we were the only visitors so it was very peaceful. The cemetery is quite large, with many unmarked sarcophogi but also several graves with detailed headstones and a handful of mausoleums too. There were good views of the mountains and spotted some unusual birds. On the way out, the attendant asked us to wash our hands, and as expected, for a small donation.
