“Lovely, Informal Vietnamese food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2014

See my other review, couldn't find the other Asian food place using the TripAdvisor map, so by chance I came across this little gem in Marrakech for great Vietnamese food - shrimp spring rolls, pho, satays, lemongrass ice tea, etc... If you fancy a change from all the tagines, couscous and BBQ you are having in your travel in Morocco. It's in the NE side of Gueliz area - about 10 mins walk from the central train station towards the north, right across from the university - so expect more civilised, polite, young Marrackechi around the area (unlike the medina :) I saw many locals eat there and some come in for take aways, so it's pretty informal, down to earth kind of place - not a fancy pretentious or tourist trap restaurant. The food authentic enough that satisfied my crave and great value. A sweet Moroccan young girl and a kind Vietnamese lady are both very attentive.

“Great spot, light food!”

Love to come here on nights when I do not want to feel soooo full from typical local food. Nice patio. Delicious authentic Vietnamese food!

“Great break from the local dishes!”

Amazing Vietnamese cuisine! The owners are from Vietnam and cook it all themselves. Very nice atmosphere. Glad i had the chance to visit a few times while in Marrakesh.

“Didn't live up to expectations.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2013

I was eager to try this place after hearing it was run by a Vietnamese couple as most of the Far Eastern food in Marrakech is not very authentic as it is made for Moroccan tastes.

However I found the food to be a bit bland in general.

I had a chat with the husband owner (friendly service) who admitted that he originally had more authentic Vietnamese dishes on the menu, but that no one ordered them so he reverted to more standard spring rolls, stir frys, noodle soup etc

I will probably give it another go as it was still as good as any other chinese/vietnamese place in Marrakech and at 60/70dh a dish it is well priced.
