There's no shade here in the heat of the day, and the gardens have none of the beauty of the Jardin Majorelle (or indeed many of the other city gardens, such as those next to Place 16th Novembre). The lake had a number of dead fish floating upside down, and the toilets were closed, but the pavilion was well worth a trip, just for the gorgeous views of sunset. Pop along at dusk, but not before.
