Not what I would call a garden, bit disappointing, but I guess for the locals somewhere to get away from the city. Large drive up to the pool which was muddy and contained some large fish, surrounded by acres of olive trees, which were in fairly rough ground, not really suitable for walking around. Very disappointing.

If they want to tout this as a tourist attraction they need to do some maintenance. The walk around the pool is interesting mainly because you find yourself wondering how the carp in there survive in the filthy water. No doubt the filth in the water is why they spend so much time with their heads out of the water.
It's worth knowing that you cannot walk all the way around the pool and there's no warning before you start.
If you look at the photos on any website or brochure you've seen you have seen the whole shebang and all the photos that can be taken.

This is really an Olive Plantation, a couple of acres of land with many many olive trees! I can't comment on the very expensive evening light show as I wanted to leave as soon as I had arrived. The "lake" is a man-made square reservoir packed with koi in murky waters. There's the 'opportunity' to take a trott around on a camel, but unless your made of asbestos - I'd strongly recommend avoiding this too...the heat is phenomenal. Take water with you if you chose to visit.

Not too sure what to say about this place. We visited it as part of our bus tour. There was a long walk to the building with no shade but it was very nice to sit and watch the water.
Had a mint tea at the cafe. I think I may just have been too hot and tierd to appreciate this site.

Scruffy and nothing to see. The postcards of the Menara Gardens make them look beautiful, but they really are not and a taxi ride or long walk from town. There are much better ways to spend your time in Marrakech.
