That's how Jemaa ei Fna bills itself with some justification. The food stalls compete for business with their front of house staff (!) producing an array of incentives. Favourite amongst these has to be, "Eat here. Guarantee no diarrhoea for three years!" Three months later and all's still well!

Be prepared for a place with confusion, many people trying to sell you things. Orange juices, fruits, mixed scents, mixed music.

Really fun to hang out in the square. Nonstop activity and exotic sights - water sellers, snake charmers, acrobats, monkeys, transvestite dancers, musicians, and of course, the tooth puller. At night there are food tents, crowded with Moroccans enjoying the evening out. I wish we had the guts to eat the street food rather than sticking to more conventional restaurants. It looked and smelled terrific.

This square is too much to take in in one go. The square is devoted to food. At either end are the fruit sellers and the juice sellers. You can buy an orange juice for 4 MAD. The centre of the square is devoted to many many eateries all trying to draw in the throngs of people. The square is adjacent to the souk with it's many alleys lined with vendors selling practically everything. We will visit a few times over the next few days

Love the food, eating on stands, fresh squeezed orange juice, and 10000 people arriving every night. A sight to see!
