Why do we come back year after year? Probably because the nighttime spectacle of the steaming food stalls is unique (and we are not too put off by the prospect of contracting amoebic once again). The standard of food in the surrounding restaurants seems universally poor and the service glacially slow - but with captive audiences cramming the balconies, why should they bother? Despite a thousand traders trying to rip you off it's still a great night night venue, in the best funfair tradition.
