The only good thing here is the orange juice sellers but take a straw and always check your change, If you can get any from them that is.

“Best viewed from a cafe rooftop”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2013

The square is the heart of the medina in Marrakech. It is a bustling street market by day and evolves into a tented eatery by night, plus street entertainment. We viewed the many activities from the Cafe Glacier from late afternoon through to early evening and watched the transition.

“Crazy place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2013

Visit during the day as well as at night as totally different. Expect to be approached to go the food stalls or into the shops but you can always so no. The square at night is alive with snake charmers, performing monkeys, dancers, henna artists and loads more. It's an experience not to be missed.

“Big square”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2013

All roads out of the souk leads here somehow. It is a rather desolate and big square with orange and nut vendors as well as snakecharmers and hennapainters...
Around it, you will find several cafes, beware since some of them our less concerned with hygien. Your best option might be to stick to bottled beverages and only eat in the well established venues frequented by many!

“Culture in a square!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2013

this is why we visit Marrakech - not because there are loads of Disney type attractions but because you can see real people living real lives. be prepared to have all your dirhams sucked out of you though. If you make eye contact you are saying I'm a tourist fleece me! But its all part of the experience. Do it once, be prepared to part with dirhams and enjoy. tip - they always ask at least double what they will settle for and that's just for a photo!
