“A must see”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

The market comes to life at night, but leading up to that you have folk law stories, acrobat artists and snake charmers, one thing we didn't like was seeing the monkeys attached to chains lead by the handlers, this was in very poor taste.

“Do it at least once.”

Complete madness! But you have to see it. It's Something about of Arabian Nights with snake charmers, acrobats, fortune tellers, drummers.

“a feast for the eyes”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

Come after dark and you wont be disappointed. The square literally comes alive after dark once the food stalls have setup.

During the day it's quite bleak with just the orange "juice" stalls, henna artists and snake charmers, later in the day it's a buzz with locals and tourists eating and watching the shows.

As expected pretty much every stall vies for your attention, women will get tired of telling the henna artists they aren't interested, but this is all part of the fun and buzz.

“Magical Square”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

Amazing Hustle and Bustle day and night (both need to be seen) so much going on that a roof top cafe with a super zoom lens or binoculars is the best way to nose at what is going on with out being roped in to anything or spending a fortune. A bit over whelming getting a taxi from the square we found if we crossed the road we were not hassled at all and got a taxi easy but on the bus stop side of the road we were hassled and even followed by some drivers

“Disappointing”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

Food was tasteless, overcooked and looked tired. Too much disturbances whilst trying to eat and an enjoyable expereince. The street entertainment is not soo great unless you understand Arabic as all the acting/comedy is in Arabic, the drummers are all the same without any dancing.
