If you Non Muslim there are no chances for you to go in sadly, but hey you will have amazing pictures from out side, so its only 100 meters from Jamaa El Fana Square, wont lose anything to go there,

This is most spectacular to see during Ramadan - the roads are closed off with police guards and mopeds line the entire street. People take along their prayer mat and lay them right out into the road. Fascinating to see several thousand people praying at once.
When you go outside of prayer time you can usually get right up to the mosque, the building is a beautiful sight, but there is a guard around who is reluctant to let you too close in case you try to go inside.

Due to the city's policy of "no building can be higher than a palm tree", this iconic mosque can be seen for miles & is easy to track down. It's literally a five minute walk (if that) from the square of Jemma el Fna.

You'll walk down a straight road from the square, passing horse & carriages on the left. Taxi's then park up on a nearby island & then the mosque is straight in front of you.

We spent some time getting away from the speed & intensity of the city by chilling out in the gardens whilst admiring the architecture & culture of the place.

The gardens are nice & offer different views on the building than seen from the square - worth a visit.
