“Beauty”
Reviewed August 27, 2012

The tower is just beautiful, the costs for renovation,if I am well informed, were paid by a woman of the US,who just loved this country, rightly so.It is unclear whether those do to inherit were delighted, but this part of town lives off the beauty of the mosque and its surrounding gardens. Not far away you hit the bazaar,a different beauty, not peace of prayer ,but noise of money

“not the highlight”
Reviewed August 21, 2012

This was nice to visit, and learn a bit of history about the building, and Marrakesh. Worth a visit but it was not the highlight of my trip. although it does help you navigate yourself as it is the most visible monument being so tall.

“Interesting!!”
Reviewed July 31, 2012 via mobile

In ramadan I'll suggest to go at 9 pm because is the time for pray and it's amazing to see 8 or 9 thousands persons praying, you'll have to stay outside the area although you can take photos of them, wonderful experience

“Not worthing going inside”
Reviewed July 3, 2012

Some people are complaining that non muslims cant enter - but people must remember not everything is suitable for tourists.

Having seen the inside i would say you're not missing out on much. Morroccon Mosques are very plain on the inside and have some to no decoration. Typical columns and pillars with red carpet for prayer. The women section is separate as is common and the garden/wudu area is dusty and neglected.

Walk to the back of the mosque and check out the foundations of the old mosque which was destroyed and this one rebuilt. Thats far more interesting.
