“Ok if you're fluent French or Arabic.”
Reviewed November 12, 2012 via mobile

All the artefacts have signs next to them explaining what they are, only thing is its in French and Arabic only so unless you're fluent, you don't really know what you're looking at. Ok to pass half an hour.

“Ok, but not fantastic”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

As with most museums in Marrakech, this place needed a pamphlet, at least to explain a bit about the building (which was lovely). The exhibits were ok, but nothing special (and the contemporary art exhibit was less-than-thrilling). Worth a look because it's close to the school (which is beautiful, don't miss it) and it has a decent cafe outside to rest after making your way through the souks!

A fascinating buillding but if you are hoping to get more of an insight into the folk art and history of Morocco and Marrakech you may be disapointed.

“Museum of Marrakech”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

Good value, easy walking distance from the main square...don't take a taxi..get a map,and ask for directions.
The Museum itself was a little too much of the same thing, room after room of beautiful ceilings pictures and lamps.I went into wooden ceiling overload very quickly, but you may enjoy it.Worth a visit, but didn't hold my attention for long.

“Three in One”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Buy a combined ticket to visit the Museum, Ben Yousseff Madersa and the Koubba - all in the same area. Apart from the various art exhibits which change from time to time, the building itself, the rooms, and of course the massive chandelier, are worth enjoying. There is also a small Cafe in the Courtyard where you can enjoy a light refreshment on a hot day. Toilets are also on site next to the Cafe. Enjoy.
