Owner description: The Saadian Tombs are located just outside Marrakech and were constructed during the reign of Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur in the late 16th century. This is the resting place of al-Mansur, his family, and other notable officials from that era. These tombs were discovered in 1917; restoration began shortly thereafter. Today, much of its original splendour has been restored.

The Saadian Tombs are a burial complex inside the medina walls of Marrakech. The tilework, high walls, plaster and wood carvings, and small garden are worth the 10 dirham entry price (0.90 Euro/$1.20). Having said that, the tilework and carvings here paled in comparison to those at the Palace Al Bahia and Ben Yousef Medrasa elsewhere in town.

You'll only be here for half an hour at max, and there's not a huge amount to see, but the Chamber of the Three Niches is worth a look, as are the cats that prowl around and guard the graves. Comes in cheap at 10 dirhams, and is easily worth it.

Can't stress it enough that you want to go there early. The place gets packed with tourist groups and you have to queue to have a peak to the room of 12 columns. Other then that I really enjoyed visiting this beautiful place.
