Owner description: The Saadian Tombs are located just outside Marrakech and were constructed during the reign of Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur in the late 16th century. This is the resting place of al-Mansur, his family, and other notable officials from that era. These tombs were discovered in 1917; restoration began shortly thereafter. Today, much of its original splendour has been restored.

“A Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

Another excellent hidden gem. Tucked away at the bottom end of the medina this is a must visit. A small site of historical importance it will amaze you with the architecture and mosaics. Another peaceful haven surrounded by the red walls and orange trees. A minimal entry fee of 10 Dirhams.

“Nice mosaics”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2013

Go to this place early in the morning or during luch time as it can be very crowded. The mosaics are beautiful and the garden calm, so even though the place isn't big you can find some peace if you come outside rush hour.

“A must see!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2013

Great site in its architecture, requires little time, but I would not bypass it as Saadians were part of the history of this city. Can be a little crowded because it is so small, but the cats laying on the tombstones do not seem to care much, and it is good to adopt their attitude.
