“Surprising and wonderful oasis in La Kasbah”

Les Jardins de la Medina is a wonderful boutique hotel in the Kasbah area of Marrakesh. It is located on a quiet side street, which is 6 blocks away from the Djemaa el-Fna square. The neighborhood is part of the old city, where the people are nice, friendly and respectful. We walked back and forth between the hotel and the square, palaces, and souks with no problem at all.
Back to the hotel itself, the staff is friendly and always ready to provide you with even the slightest detail. The bar is very well stocked (unusual in Marrakesh) and the food is very good (although much more expensive than the stalls of the street or squares..). Their breakfast display is fantastic, everything was great.
The rooms are very nice, excellent air conditioning, perfect mattress, clean white towels with rose petals on them (a welcome greeting), fantastic shower). Our room was on the second floor, with a small terrace and stairs going to the roof of the room where we had another terrace with two recliners (great for sun bathing or star gazing, magical )
The swimming pool is fantastic, located in the center ofthe gardens.
I truly reccomend this hotel, for me a true 5-star, at a very reasonable price.

We spent a week in this hotel and found difficult to leave as it was just sensational. The premises of the hotel was just amazing. Food was superb and staff very helpful. We went at the end of August where it was everyday 43 degrees. We were spoiled by the staff on the pool by cold water,smoothies and fruit kebabs free of charge. The sunday buffet was of very high quality and throughout our stay we were really impressed with the high standard of the meals and entertainment provided by the hotel. Pricewise i think its an ok price for Marrakesh. They all overcharge turists anyway so at least we were happy with the service.

hey guys hw r u today,firstly i want to thanksfull all the staff of the best place in marrakesh.last night it was one of my dreams night while i had my lovelly dinner with my freinds in jardin medina restaurant,at the first i couldnt believe that exist a romantic place where u can enjoy ur time as much as possible in front of the swimming pool while u r having ur luch or ur dinner with a high quality of the food and service

I will get to the point. We loved the hotel.

I would recommend you book this location. I would give it 5 stars except for the spa with I speak about later.

The grounds were very nice, cool and comfortable considering the August heat. The staff was very pleasant and responsive. I believe the meals were reasonable but won't know until I get the credit card bill.
You are greeted with fruits and a drink and get to enjoy them under the mist near a fountain. We . did not have room service so cannot comment on that but the staff were quickly responsive if you called the desk, Most of the staff understood english but they do seem to have more French and Arabic ( of course) speakers.

Modern room with good WiFi. Could have just a few more english speaking channels on the TV.

A few complaints. The pillows were too hard for me. Some may like them.

THE SPA. My wife went for masasage and the staff talked during the entire session and in Arabic. They did not do a good job with the basics of massage. Not even the full body for an hour. THey did not respect their privacy. The management needs to review things with the spa staff and let them know they need to give high quality service and keep the customer as the priority.

We visited another hotel for a cooking class and the interior was amazing but the grounds were just so, so. This spot has very comfortable gardens which make it excellent for lounging by the pool.

Room Tip: Hard to say. Most rooms seemed pleasant and quiet in the morning and evening.

This hotel is an oasis of calm amidst the Kasbah's bustle, with all the modern comfort amenities (WIFI working all the time etc.), so very near to all the major sights and staffed by people wanting to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The three of us stayed for 8 days during Ramadan 2012; because of Ramadan, service was (only) slow between 19.30 hours and 20.15 hours each night. Mind you, every word of praise I read in the reviews on TripAdvisor from other travellers prior to my booking a few weeks ago, is true. I definitely recommend this lovely spot.

We chose this hotel on the basis that it was inside the medina, had a pool and had more character than the large hotels in Marrakech. We definitely were not disappointed. On arrival, we were welcomed by the manager and took a seat in the gardens of the hotel which were stunning, whilst being offered dried fruits, a refreshing juice and cold flannels. It was a great first impression. The room was lovely, great air con, a huge bed, rose petals in the bathroom, a rain shower/bath and a well stocked mini bar. The maid service was excellent and we loved the weather report & morrocan pastries left in our room every evening. The pool was a good size, always enough beds in or out of the shade, and every so often free water, smoothies and cold flannels. Breakfast was good but we were really pleased with the lunch and dinner, we ate here several times during our stay. Really great morrocan/European food in a beautiful atmosphere. The hammam and argan oil massage we had as a couple at the same time, very relaxing and good value. No need to go elsewhere for this! The hotel staff were so helpful, giving us recommendations for restaurants almost every evening and booking them for us and arranging taxis. The square is a 15 minute walk away or a cheap taxi ride if you don't fancy walking. We would definitely stay again and would recommend this hotel to everyone. Thank you LJDLM!

This hotel is extremely nice! As you drive up to the hotel down the winding, dirty streets of the old town medina you may feel a little nervous. But on entry through the door you are met with an oasis of calm. The reception team will make you feel very welcome and show you around the hotel, the restraurant, the pool, the gym (which you won't want to use!), the various sun spots around the hotel, the massage parlor etc. Everyhthing is done in style at this hotel, we stayed In a solarium room, so middle of the road, it had ensuite, massive bed, tv, small sheltered balcony and a massive balcony up some stairs with 2 sun loungers! All very smart and well presented.

All in all the service is ok to good, depends who you get and how much they understand your English or pigeon French. I recommend using French but as we were learning it out there it was still pretty shaky. The food is excellent. Although stay away from fish generally in marracech is my advice. The hotel is small,maround 36 rms, and there was no more than 50 people staying when we went (aug), lots of rm by the pool and most people keep themselves to themselves, you won't want to leave the hotel! When you do leave, be mindful of the souks, they are great fun just take some patience with you and don't get to pressured into buying things!

All in all, I would recommend this hotel highly for a romantic getaway for young or older couples.
