A very good history lesson and amazingly preserved plaster, marble, wood and mosaic. Stunning given the agee. More needs to be done to make the madrasa come to life and give visitors the understanding and perspective of the student life. More needs to be done also to preserve the stunning craftsmanship.

This is not easy to find but worth it when you get there. You can buy one ticket for the Museum and the Madrasa for 60dh. They are next door to each other and there is a little outdoor café for snacks if you come over faint.

Combined ticket for this place and the museum is 60MAD.
It is an interesting site with loads of photo opportunities. Probably the best place to come to see examples of the architecture you can see at other sites in the city. Could have done with one or two of the rooms having beds etc in them to get more of a feel of how people lived and studied here.

Old building, needs some conservation
Typical oriental style of architecture
There is no information in the building concerning his past, this is a pity if you want to know more (this is a general remark for all the buildings exept the Badii Palace in Marrakech that we have visited). Take a combined ticket (Medersa and the Marrakech museum), it will save you some money.
Negative point: we were insulted by the security guide at the entrance, and we were not the only ones, When we left, he was arguing with other people. Don't know his problem, but definetively not at his place over there.
