Very interesting place to look round and explore. The carvings in the main courtyard and prayer room off of it are particularly beautiful, and the student rooms give you some feel of what the place must have felt like. In common with nearly all the Moroccan sites we saw, there is a distinct lack of explanation about what you're looking at. Either a small booklet or some more signage would be very helpful. We were approached by someone claiming to be a guide after looking around for a while, but it was unclear whether it was legit. Strongly recommend reading the background about this and other sites before you visit them.

The Ali Ben Youssef and Museum next door are twinned with one ticket. About £3 each so excellent value and an easy hour in beautiful, culturally interesting surroundings. Worth the time to relax after the assault on your senses of the near by Souks.

What's not to like? Ben, our guide, had inside knowledge of the Medersa, because his father attended there! It's a lovely, peaceful place, a real hidden gem. The fountain in the main courtyard provided us with an amazing photo opportunity which I cherish.

Well maintained and restored architecture. The history of the place itself is rich and looking at the detailed carvings and popping into all the different rooms (dorms) were fun. There are hardly any labeling explaining what is what in the building, but you can still enjoy the ambiance.

For me it was the most interesting visit in the city. Must see.
The ticket is 50 Dh, 60 Dh together with the museum 50 meters away which is also interesting.
