“Marvelous!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2013

The first thing I enjoyed was the exquisite aroma of red musk. The rooms are small but delightful, it was a very pleasant change from the typical hotel/suites back home that all look the same.
The lobby is gorgeous, with the musician there in the afternoon, it makes for a great photo!
I found the staff friendly and the service good, maybe not as fast as we are used to in the U.S. but efficient nonetheless.
The facilities at the resort were more than adequate. There are a couple of small gift shops across from the front entrance, not as cheap as town but not a total rip off either.
The food was outstanding every day! Perfect place for a business conference.

I moved to the Golf hotel from the other hotel in the complex as I needed a walk in shower. I think this is a good hotel for conferences and business. The rooms are modern and comfortable, and we enjoyed being on the ground floor adjacent to the pool. The small terrace was nice for relaxing.

The staff, from the manageress who assisted us in finding a room, the front desk staff and the waiters and cleaners were all utterly charming and very helpful.

I would only ever stay here if I had to attend a conference at the centre but was pleased with what was provided for such an event.

This restaurant is to be avoided like the plague ..... Over an hour from order for a meal to be served and the steak was COLD!!! When we complained the waitress laughed at us, it took another 20 minutes for them to re cook the steak and bring it back "burnt"... So unless you think it is acceptable to be served cold and then burnt steak, do not even contemplate this "eating establishment" it would be an insult to call it a restaurant. The manage is rude and pretends not to understand english, the hotel should take note it is not acceptable to recommend such a place. Their excuse is it is not part of the hotel....... But wait when you pay the bill they put it on your hotel room bill .... so as far as I am concerned it is part of the hotel and as such it is TERRIBLE

We stayed here in Nov 2012, the hotel is lovely and the resort is lovely lots of pools etc. But the staff were terrible. Slow. Rude and inappropriate. Would not stay here again. Would generally not visit Marrakech again. Did not feel safe in the Sooks. Bad experience over all.

I have recently visited on a family holiday and the experience was not a good one. I had been already about 12 years ago and unfortunately found out that very little had changed, or been upgraded in the last 12 years...

The rooms are tired, the service is not friendly, it takes 30 mns on average to get a drink by the pool or at the bar, other guests were actually shouting at the pool bar as they just could not put up with the poor service any longer.

The main problem is that most of the waiters do not move a finger without a tip. I do not have any problem tipping for good service but I do not agree with having to tip and show the dirham notes before the service has actually been provided. The pool boys are too busy chatting pretty girls to try and actually help with towels and beds, and when you try and move a bed yourself because they have not come to help, they tell you off!

I am lucky to have a job that makes me travel a lot and regularly stay in 5-star hotels and this is definitely not one, it needs a good overall refurbishment and a lot of training!

This hotel was better than I had anticipated. The reception area is magnificent and beautiful, with a stunning central chandelier, a typical Moroccan water feature and beautifully presented lilies. Check in was quick and easy. Room was a reasonable size, bathroom was rather old-school French - marble, aged mirrors and a couple of lampshades. It was really quite charming. In fact, there is a serious amount of marble in this joint, built as it was 15 years ago at a time when money was flowing into Marrakech.

The outdoor breakfast was a bit of a disaster with birds infesting the bread area and staff doing nothing about it. I've seen hotels elsewhere deal with this sort of problem, but no-one seemed to care. I complained to front desk and got a shrug of the shoulders from the otherwise excellent and very dapper chap in charge.

I don't play golf, I can't review this.

You'll be aware this is out of town, but Marrakech is only about 25 minutes away and the main roads into the centre have been recently re-surfaced and it's a pretty good drive.

Dinner was good - big portions and quick! There was a random tapas joint with singers and dancers - but it was quite smokey and very loud..

The gardens are pretty and the pool is large and spotless, consisting of two main swimming areas and knee high cooling pools. The grounds are well maintained apart from one water feature which was broken. This was under a block of rooms and really should be repaired to allow the guests there to experience it.

Service was good, English was spoken well and check-out hasstle-free. I had free wifi, but check your deal.

I'd recommend it as somewhere upscale which won't break the bank account, out of town but not so far out as to be 'trapped'. It was let down by the birds of doom at breakfast - it was unhygienic and unacceptable.

One final thing - it has a very, very good gym. Very new equipment and lots of it, plus an indoor pool and spa.

The hotel is lovely. Located on the outside of the city centre, approximately 15 minutes by taxi (cost of taxi is 150 Moroccan dirhams). Resort with all the facilities including a fully equipped gym which opened at 7am. The Wi-Fi in the hotel is not very good, you have to sit in the lobby to be able to connect. The food was excellent. However the staff in one of the restaurants did not understand English very well. The hotel is truly Moroccan with the doorman in his long robe and the gentlemen offering you mint tea as you enter the hotel. Overall a pleasant experience.

Room Tip: Higher floors have less noise.
