This means that it does not create a wage for an owner, it uses every penny of profit to serve the local community in the form of education and support. You can see the recent details of work and projects of the Henna Cafe online. We thank you for your feedback and your visits. Please always head to the bright warm orange decor of the Original Henna Cafe to ensure that your henna leaves a beautiful mark on the lives of young Moroccans as well as a beautiful mark on your skin! Henna cafe is situated 10 minutes walk from the Koutoubia Mosque near to the Pasha's palace). You can ask a taxi to drop you at Dar Moha, dar el Bacha. We are a 2 minute walk towards bab Doukalla from here......

“Real henna”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2013

Going to marrakech we wanted a henna tattoo. You could have this done in the main square, but we found the henna café and have no regrets. Yes you may pay slightly more but is real henna (not black ink) and is for a good cause. Designs are beautiful and Fatima is very good.

“The best place to have food and beautiful safe henna”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 26, 2013

We met a fellow traveller who recommended this little gem to us. We got a taxi from the big square for 10 dhms and they took us to the Darelpasha taxi rank from where it was just a few steps away. It is a charitable cafe where all the profits go to assist local women-so as we ate we felt good that we were supporting a really good cause. Whilst we were having our food we noticed that a language class for women was going on in the ground floor salon-so we could see that the cafe really is trying to help locals. We were invited to join an arabic lesson but we were late so coulnt. Food great. Henna awesome-loved it.

“Simple yet brilliant!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013

Stumbled across this place whilst looking for another restaurant that we'd had in mind in this area, glad we did though...Basic setting but with a rooftop terrace overlooking the busy Rue Bab Doukkala, menu has about six choices for each starter, main and desert... We had a table full of food with bread, olives, tahini, falafel and a lamb kefta tajine for 100dhs...

“Little haven.....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2013 via mobile

I absolutely loved this little place, and spent many an evening and afternoon here. All for an incredible cause, and the staff are passionate about what they serve and the reasons behind it. The food is absolutely delicious, the Lamb Kofta Tagine is a must. There are loads of refreshing local teas to choose from also. Not only that, but the price is more than reasonable! Resident henna artist and wonder-woman Fatima, creates both beautiful art and incredibly yummy and hearty food. It is as others said, a little haven, where you can sit in the sun overlooking the souks, whilst overhearing an english or Darija lesson going on below. Terry the tortoise is a joy to watch aswel. I LOOOOOVE! x
