We were enticed in by a man on the street telling us what great selection of Moroccan food they have.
The menu was quite limited but what we ordered was edible. Hardly any flavour or spices were used and the portions were not what you expect.
The best thing was the mint tea and you can hardly get that wrong.

What would you expect from a restaurant in the heart of Marrakech's medina? Moroccan gastronomy...Well, in this case, after been tricked with mellow words to come in, none of the traditional dishes were available (tagine, cous cous, soup, not even salads!).
The "waiter", I'd say the guy opening the door to attract customers could not find us a better table than the one closer to his post. To keeping on adding points to the service, he could not answer what the "Entrecôt du chef" was, and pointed to different sauces I could choose from.
Therefore, I ordered it well done with Roquefort sauce.
Yes, as expected the supposedly juicy and tender meat, barely stopped bleeding whilst trying to cut it down.

During the entire experience, the owner passed by our table without even blinking or caring.

To top it off, we were offered a lame apology from the waiter: It wasn't his restaurant, besides it had been a very busy night.
After all, if just can't offer what is expected on the menu, why do you still try to get more customers tricking them and offering a miserable service?

We had dinner there in XMas week, the food was good, though not outstanding. The view from the terrace was nice. Overall, good for one visit, but would not re-visit.

Quite tasty food and quite good service - the owner did check personally that my meal was ok - but somehow lacking the appeal to make me return.

We had dinner here and the food was very good. The chicken pastille was amazing! A definite recommend!

The view from our table was great, but we had the table right by the street. Only 5 or so tables have a great view so you want to be there early to make the most of it.

Service was good and the food was good value. It is definitely worth a go if you are in the area, however, for a little bit more money I'd probably always go next door to Kasbah as the atmosphere is better.
