“Beautiful resort - inconsistent service.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2013

The resort is situated in a quiet, upscale development at the outskirts of Marrakech. You will find lots of facilities in the park-like resort (Spa, tennis courts, Beach volley, huge swimming pool, gym). Rooms are comfortable, but relatively small for a five star hotel. All rooms are in low buildings in the park. Service in the reception and the buffet restaurant was perfect. The same cannot be said about the specialty Moroccan restaurant, which opens occationally...(Nobody really knew when it was open). We waited more than 1 hour to get our drinks, another ½ hour to get our first (wrong) dish. Our waiter simply dissappeard - I suppose he was watching football on TV somewhere.... The same miserable service characterized the cleaning of the room. Every day we had to call house-keeping to get missing towels, water etc. Under the bed was a thick layer of dust and leftovers from previous guests. No Wonder it seldom took more that 3-5 minutes to clean the room. This could be one of finest resorts in Marrakech if the management made an effort to improve the service to 5 star level. The buildings and facilities do belong in the five star category.

Just returned from Morocco having spent Xmas at the Pullman. We booked all inclusive for our 1 week stay. The rooms were very basic. It was stated that each room had a mini bar, so we expected to find a stocked fridge with perhaps soft drinks unfortunately it's a empty fridge and not a mini bar as stated. We had great difficulties when ordering any Alcohol based drinks,we gave up going to the bar. Even ordering coffee was an ordeal. There was a choice of foods in the dining room but unfortunately the food in General was cold or tepid. The staff were pleasant enough but it seems if you are not French speaking the less service you are going to receive. On one day we didn't want lunch in the dining room as we're not hungry at the time so at 10 minutes to 3 we decided to have a snack at the pool bar after ordering we were told that we would have to pay because this service for all inclusive starts at 3 o'clock . We got are food served to us at ten minutes past 3 but were charged. I am asking myself if I am being picky,no I don't think I am yes I could have waited till 3 then it would have been part of the all inclusive ( but we were not aware ) myself and my hubby are well travelled having visited Tunis, Tunisia. Egypt Dubai many times I have to say Pullman Marrakech is most definitely the worse hotel out of our many visits to Arab speaking countries

Room Tip: Make sure before you book any hotel that you look at every possible internet site and read all revie...

Morocco is a fine city to visit even in December, and The Pullman Palmeraie Resort & Spa is an ideal location. Comfortable rooms away from the noise of the hotel, comfortable beds and food to die for. So much choice in the dining room one did not know where to begin. Something for every taste. It was quiet at this time of the year with no kids, but the pool was still warm enough to swim. The top feature of this hotel is the staff who right from the General Manager to the porters and room staff were fun, friendly and helpful. Nothing but smiles, laughter and support. A lovely, cool, friendly place to come back to on the hotel shuttle bus after a day in the noise and bustle of Marrakech. It must be a great family hotel in the summer with its kids club, the pool and health spa. We loved it. Amazing grounds with acres to walk in

Dear Christopher,
It was a real pleasure meeting you. The team remembers you very well and we have enjoyed having you around. You have made the right choice by visiting Marrakech at this time of the year where you can spend the warm, sunny days wandering around in the city or staying by the pool for a moment of tranquility. I do understand that some guests hesitate whether to book a hotel in the city center or in the outskirts. Your experience shows that the choice is easy, the Medina at the city center is full of action, an interesting place to visit a couple of times during a stay. You are absolutely right for after a day in the busy and lively Marrakech souks what a bliss to come back to our pleasant ambiance enjoying this exceptional landscape. That’s where the advantage of staying in Pullman Marrakech lies.
I’d like to add that our team’s naturally friendly attitude to please their guests only reflects Moroccan people’s warmth and cordiality and it prides me to be part of this team.
It is a great pleasure to welcome you again on your coming vacation.

I stayed here with four friends. We upgraded to all inclusive which was excellent value. Food was fantastic with great choice. Pool areas were quiet and clean. Bedrooms were small but comfortable. The two waiters we had in the dining room were great but elsewhere it was terrible. They never once got our order right in four days. One night we ordered four teas and a coffee (in French and English to avoid misunderstanding) at 9.30 pm and by 10.30pm the right order finally arrived after several false starts and trips to the bar. Also I didn't have a hairdryer and had to ask four times in three languages before one was brought. I could tell reception staff weren't listening. At one point they brought an ironing board instead, then two irons. Not very centrally located but taxis are cheap and easy to get. Shuttle bus drops you off in the middle of nowhere a long walk from centre so much easier to get a taxi.

Dear Guest,
I am pleased to hear that you found food fantastic and enjoyed our variety of dishes and buffets, that the pool areas were quiet and clean as well as appreciating our comfortable bedrooms. Despite that I’m sorry for the discomfort you encountered due to this misunderstanding. I can assure you that we constantly work to ameliorate the quality of service of our team and will do our best to improve their English speaking ability in order to avoid any similar misunderstanding in the future.

top 5:
kids club a la carte (no fixed slot) with animals + animation early at night
restaurant (various and healthy food) + cosy atmosphere (lounge bar)
huge park for children, quiet appreciated compared to Marrakech noisy downtown
fitness club + spa (atmosphere, architecture...)

recommendation for improvement:
more shuttles from hotel to marrakech and vice versa
dunes & desert tour agency should be more promoted: camel, buggy, quad are great moments for instance
swimming pool: warm water would be a plus specially at christmas period (20 deg in the air, but water too cold) !

overall, a real luxe resort but with family advantages and welcome (simili club med but more cosy)

Room Tip: rooms > no triple room for kids/family earch adult had to sleep in each room, sharing bed with o...

Although the hotel is located a bit far from the city, 10 to 15 mins drive, it worth staying there for several reasons. First of all, it is an extremely beautiful resort. The rooms are cozzy, clean and contains everything you expect in a hotel room. Swimming pool area is a very nice one! There is a great gyn and a beautiful and relaxing SPA area. Moreover, employees in general are warm, dedicated and nice people. In special, I remark Olga. A very smart, nice and careful attentand, who usually receive you at the front desk. I really recommend Pullman Marrakech!!

Although this hotel is not in the city centre, don't let that put you off. As it turns out, it is the perfect escape from the madness of Marrakech City, 20 minutes by the hotel bus transfer (which must be prebooked thtough reception). The hotel has amazing grounds, with two outdoor pools, a large health spa and acres and acres of landscapes gardens to wander through. the room was very well fitted with a large sitting area and its own outdoor terrace. the hotel breakfast is a feast, with an enormous and wide variety of food to choose from, you wont go hungry!
