When we arrived it already had a perfect atmosphere, good smell, clean hotel and friendly staff. Personnel with a smile. The shower is perfect, good beds, airco. Breakfast was good. There's even free transport to the medina. The only advise i would like to give is that breakfast took a "long" time so it's maybe better to make it a buffet. Thank you, Adam and the rest of the staff.

On a website like this, superlatives are thrown around both over and under-generously. But Albakech deserves a superlative description without a shadow of a doubt.
The building itself is beautifully decorated and styled; a quiet interior courtyard to have breakfast and a swim; a Scottish-Moroccan feel making an interesting interior-design theme. The rooms are comfortable, very clean and rather stylish. A shuttle-service to the medina and airpot pick-up option. And the great team of staff, headed by Hotel Director Adam who goes out of his way to make the customers' stay enjoyable and help out any way he can.
And although the hotel is fairly new, it is probably one of the best places to stay in Marakech...

Room Tip: The first-floor rooms have stunning views of the Atlas mountains...

Albakech House is a delightful place to stay in Marrakesh. The staff are very attentive and friendly and Adam, who runs it, could not be more helpful. The customer service puts many 5 star hotels to shame. Airport transfers are hassle free as are the lifts to and from the Medina. The pool and garden area is a lovely place to chill and there are some great restaurants within easy walking distance, although the hotel is in a quieter area to the south of the city. We hope to return.

I must echo the others on here who speak highly of Albakech House. Absolutely wonderful place to stay in Marrakech. I decided to stay on for an extra few days on my own in Marrakech after being with friends for a week and stumbled across Albakech House. What a find! The rooms are superb as are the staff...and the Scottish owner, Adam, is an absolute gent. The warm welcome, tips and general service is flawless. There's a charm to Albakech house that I haven't found in any of the other hotels or riads in Marrakech. From a practical point of view, it's slightly outside the Medina. Just a few kms...about 20 minutes (very pleasant) walk to the Djamaa El Fna (main market square). Or 10 minutes walk to the royal palace. They run a shuttle from here to the Medina if you don't like walking and a taxi back costs about 20 Dirhams (on the meter). Great supermarket right next door..as are the restaurants/cafés in a newly developed area of Agdal. There are some new developments in the vicinity that weren't finished when I stayed here (march 2012) but don't let that put you off. Ask for Andy when you arrive for tips on authentic desert/camel trips if you want to try that. Wifi in rooms was 5 bars (v good connection).

This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in, with all the little touches that only come from a family run place. From the beautiful building to the enchanting reception, complete with floating rose petals in the water fountain, to the total oasis of the stunning garden that wraps itself around the pool, we fell in love with the place. The rooms were breathtaking in the attention to detail with a fluent Moroccan feel and the scattered rose petals over the bed on our arrival made all the difference. The Hamman (traditional Moroccan spa) was a must for any visitors and again the tranquil rooms set the relaxing mood perfectly. The breakfasts were full of wonderfully prepared Moroccan delights such as pancakes, beards, honeys, eggs served with a 'coffee drinkers' holy grail of a specially blended mix of cinnamon and coffee, which even converted the tea drinker in our group to the coffee (which Adam, the owner even arranged a bag of it for us to take home). The traditional mint tea in the evenings was enjoyed but the pool and this was true an oasis in the city. The hotel/ riad is perfectly situated just outside the main city to provide a quite buffer been us and the hussel and bussel of this amazing city, the taxi ride is just a few pounds but it was within walking distance too. We loved it so much that we booked our next trip even before we left, it provided the utopian place for a romantic break and this coupled with the expert knowledge of the scot/ Moroccan family that run it, meant it felt like a home from home and enabled us to make the very best from our visit.

Room Tip: Rooms over looking the pool were amazing and i would recommend

Just returned from a 3-day break in Marrakech. Adam, the Riad (hotel) owner picked me up at the airport. So, no worries in terms of transfer. The hotel is perfectly situated as it's about 10 minutes away from the airport, medina (old town square) and the new town.

Wow! What a beautiful hotel!!

Upon arrival Adam and his staff make you feel at home straight away. Check-in is effortless. They were all the perfect hosts and you’ll never find a better run hotel. Very impressed with the warmth and beauty, plus the wit and charm of all who made my stay so welcoming. I couldn’t have asked for more.

My room overlooked the pool and was spacious with a large comfortable four-poster bed. The decor was spot on and combined with creature comforts - was heavenly. Waking up to the spectacular view of the Atlas Mountains was magical but climbing it, was breath-taking!

Breakfast was just up my street, not too heavy, not too light. Set me up for the day ahead. Awesome!

Adam prides himself in making your stay as personal to you as possible. A system is in place to take you where you want in the city and once you’re done, a phone call is all you need to be whisked back to the Riad (check timings). Adam organised trips to the medina, restaurants to suit the pocket and taste, as well as a fantastic hammam and massage. Never a dull moment. Met some great people, who I’ll meet up with this summer.

Alba Kech House is a find. Great value for money. It was the perfect place to stay - like Adam says, you’ll never want to leave!

Tip: if you ever go in winter, a must-see is the Atlas Mountains. So surreal! Second visit, and by far the best. Can’t wait to return

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful. But, facing the pool, you'll see the Atlas Mountains on a clear day...

Just back (unfortunately) from a lovely stay in Marrakech. Our choice of the newly opened Alba-Kech House didn't disappoint. The Scottish/Moroccan owner, Adam, was so welcoming and his staff were extremely helpful. I went with my husband, baby and 5 yr old. We were moved straight into a beautiful suite with a living-room and separate sleeping area for the kids and massive 4-poster double bed for us. The furnishings are spot-on: all the charm of local hand-crafted furniture and decor combined with every creature comfort you could want. Travelling with kids can be tricky, especially babies, but the needs of the kids were catered for over and above any request we made. The location is ideal too - not only did we have use of the lovely pool and garden at Albakech House, but they have some great neighbours: a new high-end shopping mall with great kids' play areas (and free creche!); well stocked hyper-market; cinema; heavenly restaurants; 5* hotels to sip cocktails in.... It was also nice to step away from the chaos of the old town at the end of the day. A very big thanks to Alba-Kech House - complete luxury with a small price-tag! See you next time.....!
