“Contemporary Moroccan with 5 star service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

Choosing a riad for my hen party with seven ladies was quite a task with so many to choose from. We finally opted for Dar White as we wanted a contemporary, cool place - a retreat away from the bustle of Marrakech. We weren't disappointed. Our stay was made very special by Hisham, Kamal and the two ladies. We were immediately greeted with warmth and felt at home in what is an amazing riad. Beautifully decorated - contemporary Moroccan. fantastic service, nothing was too much trouble and the meals we were served on the terrace remain some of my favourite memories. food is lovingly prepared, fresh and a delight on the senses. We were worried about being able to drink alcohol during Ramadan, but there was always wine available and we were also able to drink our own which we had bought at the airport. we were recommended fantastic restaurants and Hisham even accompanied a few of the more apprehensive girls on a shopping trip. despite the 40+ heat the hot tub did provide relief, there is also a cool shower on the terrace. the riad is central, easy to find, an easy walk away from the main square but if you're worried taxis are cheap and the dar white team will arrange them door to door. If you are looking for a riad in the medina look no further.

My fiancé and I stayed in January 2012... My fiancé found Marrakech very intense and without the help of kamal and hicham, I don't know how we would have ended up!
The food was beautiful, the rooms beautiful.
If you are looking for a small boutique hotel, this is it!!!!!!
Just perfect!
6 months later I am still dreaming of the amazing food!
Thank you guys!

My daughter & myself stayed here for 6 nights in June, after a problem with an apartment booking.
Jean, the owner, kindly accommodated us at the last minute. From arrival at the Riad to leaving, our stay was faultless. The riad is perfectly located in the kasbah, far enough away from the madness of the square, but within easy walking distance of all the main attractions. The decor is amazing, very relaxing & calming, which, believe me, you will need at the end of a long day. The rooms & common areas are clean, comfortable & welcoming, however, it is the staff which make this particular Riad so outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble for Hisham, Kamal, & the 2 girls! They anticipated our every need & went out of their way to make our stay perfect in every way. Breakfast was served whenever we wanted, & we had dinner on our last night, which was served on the beautiful roof terrace. An amazing experience. Special thanks to Jean for all of his help. I would have no hesitation in recommending Dar White, or it's sister -Riad Dar One, & on my next trip to Marrakesh, will definitely return to this little piece of heaven!

Room Tip: All the rooms are amazing, there are only 4.

After our other accommodation fell through my Mum and I got in touch with the owner of this riad- Jean Peres. He immediately offered to help and gave us a heavily discounted rate. We are now both thankful that the problem with our other accommodation occurred because we genuinely do not believe we could have found a better place to stay in Marrakech.

From the hospitality (particular mention must go to Hicham, Kamal and Jawad!!) to the decor everything at this riad was perfect! We were treat like royalty and our every need was catered to! Breakfast was lovely and was available at times to suit us (most days not til 10.30/11am). The rooms were spacious, the bath and shower facilities excellent, the air-conditioning of a high quality, the hot-tub on the roof was great and the communal areas were all furnished beautifully! It was very clean and tidy! There was a great chilled vibe to the whole place and after the hustle and bustle of Marrakech, Dar White was like our own haven to come back to. Location was fab- just far enough away to be quiet and peaceful but walking distance to all main attractions.

I couldn't recommend this place highly enough and we will definitely be returning on our next trip to Marrakech! Thanks Dar White.

Nothing is too much trouble. It was furnished and finished like a 5* boutique hotel in the UK that would cost you 3 times as much. The staff were superb - going up and down from roof to kitchen for drinks and snacks, even going out to get extras to meet our every whim!..Hicham and Kamal need special mention as they were exceptional.

Well located, within bearable walking distance of all the main attractions.
It is one of the best value breaks we've ever had.

One thing to pass on - beware young lads on bikes offering to guide you - we ended up more lost than we were before and 5 Euro lighter!

Room Tip: They are all very similar size - I couldn't see much difference between the 'larger' and...

We had stayed at Riad dar One before going on a tour of the Atlas Mountains and Jean could not fit us in when we returned as our son was joining us so we booked Riad dar White. We should not have worried as it is superb, “ultra chic” communal areas and rooms just like a 4 star hotel. The staff are really attentive and ready to help you with anything, even offering to walk with us to one of the stalls in the square so that we would get a great traditional meal. Breakfast on the terrace is a lovely way to start the day and weather permitting it is also nice to chill out, laze around, read a book or have a relax in the hot tub after a long day at the souks. We had a fabulous time and would definitely recommend it!

my friends and i just stayed at dar white and had a perfect week. from the staff to the incredibly well-decorated space, this was better than any hotel or other riad option we saw. the interior is brand new including the linens, fixtures, & furnishings. the riad has a cover over the interior courtyard opening, something that most riads don't have. this meant that, when it rained, you still had a whole living area to enjoy, and there wasn't the dust, bird droppings and grime we saw at other riads who did not have this type of cover. the roof top was by far the best part, with great seating, a hot tub, bar and table for breakfast. i would highly recommend having dinner cooked for your group at the riad as their chefs are fantastic and the ambiance of the riad was perfect. the owner also runs dar one - these two riads are certainly the best of the best!

bring cash to pay as that is the preference.

Room Tip: they are all good - not a bad room in the house.
