“Very Special”
Reviewed March 2, 2014 for a stay in February 2014

I will write more later but just wanted to say now: Riad fantastic; owner and staff lovely; neighbourhood endearing and life-changing in showing us what it really means to be a civiled community; Marrakech dazzling, friendly and safe; Morocco, a capturer of hearts. Debbie, Orpington

“Gateway to Marrakesh”
Reviewed February 17, 2014 for a stay in February 2014

I will try to keep this really simple. Laksiba and it's amazing staff are the only sensible location to start your adventure in this incredible city.

The riad itself is ideally located ten minutes walk from the main square. This short distance is perfect to walk off a good dinner and takes you far enough from the pulse of the square which could impact on sleep if you were closer.

The decor and functionality of the riad are top class and the breakfast hearty and tasty. It is the staff however which really made the difference. Adil, Abdelhamid, Nadia and Raja form a formidable team headed up by owner Simon. I knew I had made the right choice within a couple of e-mail conversations with Simon, so refreshing to find someone who 'gets it"

The boys both speak superb English and nothing is too much trouble or too difficult. They are courteous and sensitive with an uncanny knack of knowing when to offer company and when to stay in the background. Personally I could not ask for better company or service from two of the finest young men I have had the priviledge to meet.

In summary then, for a little haven from the wonderful sensory bombardment of Marrakech with every need already considered at a great price Laksiba is THE choice.

I cannot wait to return later this year..

“A riad that really looks after you from enquiry to end of stay.”
Reviewed February 6, 2014 for a stay in February 2014

Booked the riad exclusively. From enquiry with the owner to being placed in a taxi home the whole process and stay was spot on. Comparing prices and reviews from other riads we truely struck gold! Food was delicious the guys who look after you were friendly, informative and eager to to make your stay perfect. We would all return to this riad and wish it continued success in the future.

“Memorable Stay”
Reviewed January 19, 2014 for a stay in January 2014

The Riad has an ideal location within the Medina, with all the main sites within walking distance. We found the Riad a bit chilly during January and the room heaters were ineffective. However it is built for the Marrakech climate and is possibly pleasingly cooler during the hotter times of the year.

The boys were generally excellent hosts, easy to befriend and very knowledgeable. The breakfast is ample. The evening meal option was not inspiring, but adequate. The facilities are basic by European standards but sufficient for a Moroccan break.

The roof terrace is a nice bonus offering great views of sunrise and sun set over the City rooftops. We would stay again- at a warmer time of the year.

In summary the Riad is a pretty construction internally and don’t be deceived by its outward appearance. Its proximity to the Horse stables next door is not ideal as the equine aromas are not to everyone’s taste.

“Fantastic!”
Reviewed January 17, 2014 for a stay in October 2013

We stayed here back in October, but I have to write that it was an amazing place. So comfortable and spacious. We had the best hosts, Hamid and Adil. I can't say enough how amazing they were. They bent over backwards to help us (my husband had to go to hospital for a nailbed infection!), were extremely knowledgeable, great to talk to, so kind to the children, and just lovely to be around. They helped us arrange camel rides and everything!

We ate breakfast and dinner at the riad, and the food was excellent. The only thing is, we had a lot of leftovers, and I wish we could have just saved them for the next meal. (Shame to throw out all that lovely food!)

Riad Laksiba is a relaxing haven after walking around the hectic markets of Marrakech. We really couldn't ask for anything more.

“Great little place!”
Reviewed January 16, 2014 for a stay in January 2014

I stayed here with family and friends to celebrate my 60th birthday, and had a really wonderful time. Transfers from the airport were perfect, very quick. and the staff are very helpful. Riad Laksiba is well placed for exploring the old part of Marrakech, and as everywhere is completely flat, the walking is very easy. I would not hesitate to book again, especially as Easyjet now fly to Marrakech twice a week from Bristol. The sun shone every day, there was no rain, and we enjoyed the roof terrace sunloungers! Thankyou to all the staff for a great time, and for my delicious birthday cake.

“5*”
Reviewed January 16, 2014 for a stay in April 2013

Wish if I could click more than 5*, wow what a place.. accommodation may be similar to any other Riad in the city, but people running the place makes it superb..!
Sister booked the full riad, don’t really know how much it cost, but it was worth every single penny paid.
Very helpful staff, you just need to ask once for anything and you’ll be given choices, ladies were amazing they cooked awesome breakfast and dinner, 5 adults & 4 kids, and not a single person complained about food, were happy like anything! The owner who lives in the UK was very helpful too and quick on answering our queries via emails (to best of his knowledge, some of them were on visa requirements)
I was told at end of our stay, my sister paid the tip to the staff 4x more than what she initially budgeted.. what more should I say!
