We had just arrived in Marrakesh and used TA to find somewhere close by for dinner. I'd recommend booking as we were lucky in getting the last free table. The restaurant is hidden down an alleyway but is well signposted from the main road. The inside is beautiful and serene. Staff are friendly with the Moroccan dry sense of humour. We were served free champagne cocktails and amuse bouche before the meal.
Though the restaurant is mainly Italian it does offer a few Moroccan dishes, which we chose to sample the local food. I ordered a lamb tagine which was delicious, my favourite meal of the trip. A huge portion of tender lamb with chickpeas and sweet spicy flavours. The tagine was served with bread and there was no couscous available, however we came to realise that was common. My friend asked if they could make a vegetarian tagine (off menu) and was presented with a plate of vegetables, however when she complained they brought her a pasta dish and did not charge for both. Desserts were tasty but nothing special.
The prices are well above what you would pay in the main square but you get what you pay for - the setting, the service and the delicious food.
