Description: PEPE NERO Restaurant Marrakech : A place of flavours on motion where the senses are constantly coddled Khalid and his team represent the same soul of a single ingredient: Excellence. This where I devote myself body and soul to my passion: cooking We strive to always be precise in our gestures, attentive to the oven, skilled with knives, a sharpened sense of smell, an eye to the market, intransigent with the quality of ingredients and demanding in the kitchen. The battle I fight every day with my team is the oldest in the world:That between the hand and fire.We created the sort of restaurant we would like to find ourselves..Pepe Nero was born to engage and satisfy our passion : Taste, without any constraints or formalisms, with simplicity. But not only. We believe that there has been a generational change in customers who are rather apprehensive of locations that are over formal. With this new role we want to clear away taboos and bring haute cuisine into step with the times.

excellent food and service in a great atmosphere and at reasonable prices. Beautiful setting hidden away but well signposted. Gorgeous decor and romantic dining next to the fountain. Reservation required! A pity I do not live nearby! What a treat eating at this restaurant.

“Quality dining in Marrakech”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

How great to find a restaurant that lives up to expectations. Beautiful setting, elegant architecture and furnishings, yet no way so formal that you feel intimidated. Loved the delicious food - both the Moroccan and Italian cuisines got a thumbs up as did the wine list. Service was discreet, friendly and efficient, though I would describe it as leisurely at times. Prices were very reasonable for such good food. We enjoyed it so much we returned a few days later with friends who were equally impressed. A well deserved 5 stars from us and one to bookmark for a return visit!

“Very good restaurant”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Very good restaurant, quiet and with the best decor, absolutely gorgeous and the best food of all the high-end restaurants in Marrakech .The prices are quite reasonable, considering the quality. Pepe Nero is more than excellant restaurant and I found the service as very professional and friendly, and contrary to what I had read on the internet is not difficult at all to find condition follow the signs that are on the maps site restaurant.

“Top marks all round”
Reviewed November 4, 2012 via mobile

Emailed them the previous day but were fully booked, however was able to request a table by the fountain for the following day. Received confirmatory email explaining how to reach destination on foot or by taxi in two languages. Very warm welcome, seated and ordered food very quickly (7:45pm). It got very busy by 8:30 but service remainder consistently good throughout evening. Meal for 2 with good bottle of wine incl starters and dessert @ less than 1000dh. Included foc pressicio and amuse bouche each. Ordered the steak - one of the best I've ever had. Proffesionalism and nice ambiance. Would happily eat there again.

“Wonderful place in a stunning location”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

Pepe Nero is located in a magnificent riad. It is worth a visit for the superb pool and garden by the entrance, the magnificent covered patio, with a fountain dancing with light, and the delicate ceilings and tiles in the adjacent rooms.
In such a setting you are served with perfect professional style by attentionate people. Sparkling wine and a faux chou à la crème (faux as it was a salted entrée, not a sweet dessert) started the dinner, which continued with Moroccan specialities wonderfully prepared and served. You can go for Italian dishes, but we didn't try them.
Expect to pay 30 euros or more, specially if you order wine. One unpleasant detail: when the bill is presented you are asked to pay a 10% tax and the service in addition to the prices on the menu. I really dislike this kind of surprises, and would prefer to have the final price clearly stated on the menu.
A highly recommended place.

Dear Guest, thank you for your gratifying review for our restaurant.
About the bill I want to assure you that you have paid the prices stated in the menus and that those are inclusive of the 10% TVA ; Our invoices are in French and probably this is the reason of the misunderstanding,
At the bottom of the invoice as requested by the Moroccan fiscal legislation is stated the amount of the TVA enucleated from the total and this amount is not at all added on the total again, in other terms at the bootom of the invoice is put in evidence the amount of the TVA included on the total of the said.
