Description: PEPE NERO Restaurant Marrakech : A place of flavours on motion where the senses are constantly coddled Khalid and his team represent the same soul of a single ingredient: Excellence. This where I devote myself body and soul to my passion: cooking We strive to always be precise in our gestures, attentive to the oven, skilled with knives, a sharpened sense of smell, an eye to the market, intransigent with the quality of ingredients and demanding in the kitchen. The battle I fight every day with my team is the oldest in the world:That between the hand and fire.We created the sort of restaurant we would like to find ourselves..Pepe Nero was born to engage and satisfy our passion : Taste, without any constraints or formalisms, with simplicity. But not only. We believe that there has been a generational change in customers who are rather apprehensive of locations that are over formal. With this new role we want to clear away taboos and bring haute cuisine into step with the times.

“A lovely romantic evening”
Reviewed October 30, 2012

Booked online prior to visiting Marrakech from UK. Very efficent in replying and reserving our choice of table close to the fountain. No problems finding the restaurant because it is well signposted from Cafe de France on the edge of Djemaa el-Fna square.
Great welcome from the waiters alongwith complimentary sparkling wine while we perused the menu. Once our order was taken, we were then given an amuse bouche to tempt the tastebuds...and tempt it did.
We both opted for the Harira Soupe on the recommendation of previous Tripadvisor reporters. It was well worth it. We also opted for the same Moroccan main of Tajine d’Agneau Makfoul....one of the best we have tasted!
When we booked we were offered a free dessert if we were celebrating a special event. Having returned to Marrekech 25 years after our honeymoon, we were presented with a gorgeous, creamy dessert to share.
Overall, a lovely evening in a beautiful setting. We would both thoroughly recommend Pepe Nero to anybody wanting a really good Moroccan meal in Marrakech.

“A little piece of Italy in Marrakech”

Fantastic food, service and value - whilst it is a 10 minute walk from Djemaa el-fna square it is worth the walk.

“A nice night ouut”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

After finally finding the restaurant, which was part of being in Marrakech we found Pepe Nero, the signs they have are great pointing you in the direction even though the walk was longer than I thought. The food was fairly good and inline with the price we paid, I have to say felt let down by the service, they were not too busy but it took ages for the plates to be cleared and even longer for the bill (a pet hate of mine) the bill then being wrong with an additional main added but that was rectified. Have to say had better dinner having true tagines in the market.

“Best pasta in town, probably outside Italy!”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

Pepenero's Ravioli with courgettes in a cheese sauce is the best dish I have eaten in all the restaurants I have visited in Marrakech, in the past week. It was light as a feather and tasted sublime.
