My husband and I were returning from our walking tour of the Medina when we passed the Hotel Les Jardins de La Koutoubia and spotted the sign for Les Jardins de Bala. Our guide explained that the restaurant was well noted in Marrakech for good food and we should try it during our stay. Well we did and were pleasantly surprised. I had not read the reviews on trip advisor prior to going so didn’t realise how mixed they were
It was dusk when we arrived so the atmosphere on the rooftop was lovely with the Koutoubia Mosque in the background lit up. We found the wait staff attentative but not intrusive and the food delicious.
Personally we would return as we enjoyed the Samosas Vegetarian, Tikka Masala, Agneau Jal frezi and Riz Basmati Pulao. We didn’t have any wine, only sparkling water and the bill came to approximately US 46.00. I can’t comment on the Indian authenticity of the food as some have however our dinner was tasty and based on our experience we would certainly return to Les Jardins de Bala again
