Quite simply, it was the best meal of our trip, with the tagine being an absolute highlight. Shame about the ambiance, but this was probably due to it being ramadan and us eating there at 7:30. It's also in the new city, which makes a change from medina, where most people stay.

Overall the best meal you will have for the fairest price!

I went there at the end of July 2012 in which was their Ramadan period and I must say the restaurant was truly amazing. You pay the price for the food, the service and the views of the restaurants and it's surroundings and atmosphere. It was quiet when we went however it allowed us to have great customer service where the food was delivered fast and hot with friendly waiting staff who tried hard to help us understand the menus and gave us what we wanted and how we wanted it cooked.
Overall I would really recommened this restaurant for great traditional Morrocan food as a great family evening out in a very serene and calm atmosphere.

We (girlfriend and I) saw some good reviews and decided to give Libzar a try, slightly tentative after our poor outing to Dar Najats, we were on this occasion, not disappointed!

We were greeted by an extremely helpful young lady who was so lovely and helpful you just wanted to shrink her down, put her in your pocket and take her home!

The restaurant was very quiet with only two other other tables occupied (both local-good sign!) although this did mean there was not much atmosphere, the way the restaurant is laid out and decorated, means it is quite homely, whilst remaining modern and so in no way felt cold and cavernous due to the lack of people. (it was also a Tuesday night)

To start we ordered a selection or Moroccan salads which was essentially a collection of very small portions of which there were 12, we shared this and it was plenty. The quality of there little dishes were average to good (nothing that would blow you away but no horrors), it was a good way of tasting how they like to marry sweet with savoury and their uses of spice.

Mains were fantastic! Just before going into detail I would like to say there are two menus, one in Enlish and one in French (unfortunately at least one reviewer TKB001 has been......well.......mugged off with over inflated prices on the English written menu. It is easy to see what prices should be as they are on the website and French written menu. Our waitress also brought this to our attention)

Anyway, my girlfriend ordered the lamb Tajine with shallots and almonds, a delicious dish that had deep well blended flavours the primary of which was cinnamon. I ordered what was described as lamb shank on the English menu, it wasn't, seemed more like a slice of lamb shoulder to me, despite this it was truly delicious, again very deep complex flavours (in total contrast to Dar Najat) the predominant one was lemon, but as with the other dish this main flavour did not overpower everything else that was the party in my mouth!

For dessert we had the sorbet and crime brûlée which were both very good.

In total we paid 840 Diram for 3 courses (560 Diram) water (40 Diram) and a good bottle of wine (240 Diram).

Definitely go, if the standard gets near what we had you will not be disappointed!

We visited this restaurant based on it's ranking and other reviews on tripadvisor.
We are pleased to say that the food was beautiful. Traditional cuisine with a modern twist. The vegetable plates to start were great and so much of it. All really good tastes.
The only draw back to the restaurant was it's lack of atmosphere. Being the only table in there between 8-10pm was a bit concerning however please do not let that put you off.
The food was very nice.
