“The English Way?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2013

Ok, so the title of this review may be a bit steep for some sensibilities, but if you are like me and find haggling for goods difficult or just down right unnatural, then the Ensemble Artisanal is for you. Yes, you could probably haggle for a cheaper price for similar goods in the souk and maybe get a few pence reduction on what is already dirt cheap prices (and we did, just to say that we had), but I prefer to browse at leisure knowing what the marked price is without the constant hassle from stall holders. We did most of our shopping here, interspersed with visits to the small cafe for cups of tea to discuss prices and treasure. There is something for everyone there - from clothing and footwear to wood, metalwork, ceramics, leather work, textiles and jewelry. Oh, and conveniences as well... that's something you don't get in the souk...

“Pleasant, hassle free shopping”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2013 via mobile

Whether the ensemble is for you will depend on what you want. If you crave vibrant madness, variety and the challenge of bargaining, then go to the Souks where you will find that in spades. If, like me, you prefer to browse in peace, and are not too keen on shopping or after a bargain, then the Ensemble has sufficient variety and is a much more peaceful and relaxed environment. The small, tranquil cafe is an added bonus!

“All in one, no hassle shopping”

Everything you need all under one roof..most speak English and French. The best thing is that everything is a set price so no haggling! Gives you a great idea of what you SHOULD pay elsewhere so you can haggle with confidence - although for this I think they do charge a little on top but hey :p They are very freindly and no pushy sales so very relaxed and so much to see there from art to leathers and souvenier shops

“So different to shopping elsewhere in Marrakech!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2013

After touring the souks for a few days, you may well be very fed up with the constant hassling from shop owners and random locals trying to get you to go and see the tannery. The Ensemble Artisanal is much more relaxed, almost peaceful by comparison, with little of the pestering you get elsewhere.

It's not a big place, but there's a good selection of shops to look around and prices are mostly clearly displayed.

There's a small cafe in the courtyard which has decent quality snacks (paninis etc...) at reasonable prices.

“Hassle free shopping ”

Definitely worth a visit if you can't /don't want to be hassled to death at the souks. Got everything I wanted and even if the prices were a little higher, the quality appears much better.
