On the surface..great environment within a lovely hotel. Modern, plush interior which looked like a great setting for food.
However, both menu and cutlery with filthy which was unacceptable bearing in mind we were the only people in there at 8pm!
The seats were uncomfy with the cushions falling onto your back whilst sat. They didn't have the popular morrocan dish on the menu which only left breaded chicken escalope to eat due to limited menu choice. Good was presented well but very simple and small portioned for the price of £15 per dish.
If u wanted alcohol u would be paying roughly £15 for two corona beers.
We decided to settle for soft drink thinking it would be cheaper. We paid £7 per can of coke which came at room temp with no offer of ice or lemon, almost triple what we had been paying in nicer restaurants.
Tried to pay on card and was told that the card was declined. Asked to try it again and payment went through. Asked for receipt for the first transaction which failed and they could not provide leaving me unconvinced that I haven't been charged twice.
Overall, hugely disappointed, felt completely ripped off.
It is now clear from looking at previous reviews that the majority of good reviews have been posted by the restaurant employees (who stand on the restaurant floor chatting on their phones). There may be some incredible restaurants in Marrakech but this certainly isn't one of them!!
