“Hassle free”

Taking refuge from the souk, found Oscar Proges by chance. Good quality, basic food, cooked well and served without fanfare. Would definitely return.

“inexpensive but not good”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

The owner of the Riad recommended this restaurant but neither the soup, Harira, nor the main dish, lamb with prunes and almonds, was good. I wouldn't recommend it.

“Good food, good prices, good service!”
Reviewed February 25, 2013 via mobile

We ended up here on a recommendation from our Riad and were not disappointed. Food was good with simple Moroccan dishes and very cheap prices. Would definitely recommend.

“Other reviews were "Spot On"”
Reviewed February 9, 2013 via mobile

We arrived at Oscars around 5.30 after debating where to eat. We were a bit early as we had an early start to the day. We were welcomed with a smile and took our seats. It isn't a top class eatery but we didn't come here to admire the decor.
The dining area was very clean as well as the toilets.
We all decided to have the 100dh menu which was the correct choice. 4 courses more than plenty. For the 3rd and main course my wife
asked if they could just make her a vegetable tagine. "No problem"was the reply from the waiter, with a smile. When it arrived it was a steaming vegies delight.
We have been to some of the greatest restaurants in the world and all have their place.
Oscars have their place well and truly marked and the basic style is what gives it it's charm.
We have now eaten here 3 times and feel very comfortable. What we also liked is that it does not have any need for those 'Client grabbers' that are everywhere else.
What was an eye opener was that we had to "Do" the open air night food stalls. The plan was to have a small nible then go to Oscars for main meal. One shared Maroc salad, one portion chicken skewer came to 120dhm which wasn't what was on menu. Turns out we were charged for the bread and the two watery dips as well.
This appears to be the 'norm'.
It was a relief to sit down in Oscars and enjoy their offerings.
Highly recomended?
