My two nights stay at Riad Dar Oulhoum was perfect. Atmosphere was familiar, the hosts very friendly and the staff reliable. Very nicely done rooms, roof terrace with a great view over Marrakech. To be recommended!

Outstanding, friendly service all around. Bruno and Guy always went out of their way to ensure everything was in order. We spent wonderful 4 nights here. Bruno met us at the taxi drop off point (last 2 minutes of the journey need to be completed on foot) and accompanied us to the drop off point again on the departure day. In between, Bruno and Guy helped us immensely with direction, advise and even with medical supplies. Breakfast was excellent. Always served with a smile by Driss (apologies if wrong spelling !), either in the restaurant or on the roof top terrace. Dinner was great too. We can't recommend enough this great Raid.

Room Tip: Try to get the suite

Dar Oulhoum is a true oasis in the heart of Medina just next to busy souk area. Very peaceful, stylish and cozy and although the riad is quite small you feel like having a lot of space around you. Guy and Bruno are the most kind hosts you can imagine and took care of us in such a special way.
Roof top terrace is very lush and beautiful and the whole riad full of chic details.
Location is just perfect next to souks and 10-15 minute walk from Koutoubian mosque and Jemaa el Fna.
Loved it and will definately choose this place to stay when in Marrakech again!

We decided to return, to de-stress, visit the beautiful gardens and celebrate my husbands birthday....we have broken our own rules by returning to the same place twice, that's how much we absolutely love Dar Oulhoum and Bruno and Guy's fantastic hospitality.
They are both so warm welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much trouble, and we really enjoy their company, sharing a bottle of wine or peppermint tea on the roof terrace in the evening after a long day in the city.
Guy is great at showing you round the souks, and he's a great negotiator if youre looking for a bargain. Bruno speaks good English, and is great at advising places to visit and eat
We really enjoy the madness of Marrakech and the contrasting, relaxing and peaceful haven of the beautifully decorated riad.
We had breakfast on the roof terrace every morning, in the warm sunshine, looking at the atlas mountains on the horizon. Dris cooks a delicious daily breakfast feast of pancakes, oranges with cinamon, yoghurt and omelettes with coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. A great start to the day.
Hasna kept our beautiful room spotlessly clean with daily fresh linen and towels, and cooked us the most amazing beef dish, which was traditionally finished off in the Hamman.
The Birthday cake she made was absolutely delicious too, i regretted being polite and asking for a small slice! I recommend you eat at the Riad to sample her fantastic food. (They need prior notice to source ingredients.)
If you want to experience the real Marrakech, then you must stay in the medina, and Dar Oulhoum is just such a lovely place to stay. Thanks to you all. We will miss you.x

Room Tip: All 3 rooms are lovely, the call to pray from the mosques can be heard all over the city, otherwise its quiet!

My husband and I recently stayed at this Dar for 5 nights. We absolutely loved this place and thoroughly enjoyed the company of the owners Bruno and Guy.
Our room was quiet, spacious and comfortable. The Dar has so many places on all three levels to relax and read or have a glass of wine or meal. The top level has multiple outside areas to sit in on a nice day as well as a very comfortable inside room with a fireplace that we enjoyed our first night in Marrakech with the owners and their friends from France.
The owners have traveled the world and the furnishings and art are a constant revelation every time you turn a new corner.
But, what makes this place truly special is the owners love for Morocco and their goal to make sure you enjoy your time in their adopted city. As others have noted Bruno will come get you when you arrive at the nearby parking area. Both Bruno and Guy made sure we felt comfortable getting to and from the Dar for dinner or excursions into the medina. Guy took us for a nice walk to see another part of Marrakech after a disaster of a guided tour booked through someone else. Bruno took to heart my love for a painter they had bought a couple of prints from and spent considerable time helping me to find similar artwork for our home in the U.S.
At the same time if you don't want to engage with them they are very good at staying in the background while you enjoy their Dar.
I also have to make mention of their staff Driss and Hasna. Hasna prepares the meals and we ended up eating 3 of our 5 dinners at the Dar because of her awesome cooking. We had the lamb and fennel our first night - Wonderful! She made Royal Couscous on Friday night - Couscous is a traditional Friday night meal but we certainly did not expect Royal Couscous which is made for special occasions. The last night we were there they asked if we wanted something special and we chose the Tangia which is a workmans dish cooked in a Hammam. Very cool.
Driss serves the meals and is always there to serve drinks when you return from a long day. One day we skipped lunch as I had some work to do and when we asked for a little snack to tide us over to dinner Driss came back with a feast that we were never charged for.
There are so many places to stay in Marrakech that it was hard to choose. I ended up choosing Dar Oulhoum due to the reviews about the owners and their hospitality and they certainly lived up to their online reputation!
I would highly recommend this Dar and if we ever go back to Marrakech we will be staying here.

Room Tip: There is not a bad room.
