My husband and I recently stayed at this Dar for 5 nights. We absolutely loved this place and thoroughly enjoyed the company of the owners Bruno and Guy.
Our room was quiet, spacious and comfortable. The Dar has so many places on all three levels to relax and read or have a glass of wine or meal. The top level has multiple outside areas to sit in on a nice day as well as a very comfortable inside room with a fireplace that we enjoyed our first night in Marrakech with the owners and their friends from France.
The owners have traveled the world and the furnishings and art are a constant revelation every time you turn a new corner.
But, what makes this place truly special is the owners love for Morocco and their goal to make sure you enjoy your time in their adopted city. As others have noted Bruno will come get you when you arrive at the nearby parking area. Both Bruno and Guy made sure we felt comfortable getting to and from the Dar for dinner or excursions into the medina. Guy took us for a nice walk to see another part of Marrakech after a disaster of a guided tour booked through someone else. Bruno took to heart my love for a painter they had bought a couple of prints from and spent considerable time helping me to find similar artwork for our home in the U.S.
At the same time if you don't want to engage with them they are very good at staying in the background while you enjoy their Dar.
I also have to make mention of their staff Driss and Hasna. Hasna prepares the meals and we ended up eating 3 of our 5 dinners at the Dar because of her awesome cooking. We had the lamb and fennel our first night - Wonderful! She made Royal Couscous on Friday night - Couscous is a traditional Friday night meal but we certainly did not expect Royal Couscous which is made for special occasions. The last night we were there they asked if we wanted something special and we chose the Tangia which is a workmans dish cooked in a Hammam. Very cool.
Driss serves the meals and is always there to serve drinks when you return from a long day. One day we skipped lunch as I had some work to do and when we asked for a little snack to tide us over to dinner Driss came back with a feast that we were never charged for.
There are so many places to stay in Marrakech that it was hard to choose. I ended up choosing Dar Oulhoum due to the reviews about the owners and their hospitality and they certainly lived up to their online reputation!
I would highly recommend this Dar and if we ever go back to Marrakech we will be staying here.

Room Tip: There is not a bad room.

Hi Bruno - here is the review that I am submitting on Trip Advisor and Agoda.com - I trust it is to your liking. We will miss you. xox

When traveling we always search for one-of-a-kind lodging that will make our visit spectacular and out-of-the ordinary - one that delights all of our senses. Dar Oulhoum is that - a rare and joyful experience. We had only 4 nights in Marrakesh and from the moment we arrived with our driver and was greeted by Bruno at the taxi stop with his warm and welcoming smile and personality, we felt we were in the best of hands. The Riad was a short walk and our bags were carefully handled for us. Opening the door to the Riad began a journey that was a feast for the eyes. Dar Oulhoum was carefully restored with attention to every detail and with fine furnishings and artifacts from around the world. Furnishings throughout the Riad were tasteful, comfortable and with private spaces throughout to spend quiet moments or sit in small groups - all areas kept meticulously clean. Our chamber was spacious, exotic, and comfortable - having some of the best nights of sleep in our bed. We could control the temperature in our unit to our liking and enjoyed our skylit bathroom so beautifully decorated. We were also introduced to Guy, who along with Bruno, went out of their way to acclimate us to the medina. They personally walked us to our dinner reservations the first evening so we were comfortable knowing our way. And Guy took us on a walking tour to the large square to know the lay of the land and best places to exchange currency. Bruno recommended and arranged for a traditional hamam and massage - at a wonderful, clean and beautiful hamam - another blissful highlight of our stay here. They anticipated our every need with gestures like leaving a fresh bottle of water at our chamber door before bed - so very thoughtfull in every way. Driss and Hasna are the staff and are both simply amazing. Driss prepared our breakfasts each day set at various locations around the riad depending on weather and guided us to a restaurant one evening. Hasna prepared our chamber and helped us with laundry and ironing. We were always greeted with a smile. We feel so grateful to have found Dar Oulhoum for our first visit to Marrakesh. They looked after us so we felt comfortable and safe and will always hold a place in our hearts for their friendship and kindness. We leave tomorrow for continued travels and are already feeling sad to leave our "home" here. We truly felt Bruno and Guy's home was our home. When we return to Marrakesh, we will return to Dar Oulhoum.

Bruno and Guy looked after me and my partner extremely well. We spent a short week in the Dar and they gave us so many Home comforts that I was sad to leave. They were wonderful hosts and I have nothing negative to say about them. The first day we got there a tour of the old town was arranged which is so unique. The Dar in itself was beautiful, beautifully designed rooms and just as you see in the pictures. The Staff idris Etc were so attentive and helpful to our needs. The Riad is located perfectly, it really is a hidden gem in the busy streets of Marrakesh. I cannot recommended this place highly enough.

We stayed at Riad Dar Oulhoum for 4 nights and the place itself is lovely.
Attention to detail everywhere you look.
Very clean and tastefully decorated.
The owners Bruno and Guy are extremely helpful. They escorted us everywhere we went. Not to mention Dris which went the extra mile to help my wife buy a Tanjine.
Highly recommended

We have stayed at many places but Dar Oulhoum is certainly one of a kind. We were fortunate to spend eight days (8) at this paradise and every seconds was special . Being that it was our first time in Marrakech, we were not sure of what to expect. However, upon arrival Bruno greeted us at the taxi stop and walked us to to the Riad. When we arrived - we received a tour and also was greeted warmly by Guy. Dar Oulhoum's decor is out of a magazine. Every corner of the place is special and have conversation pieces from all around the world. Both Guy and Bruno went above and beyond to assure our experience was nothing short of fantastic. We weren't told how to navigate around town BUT SHOWN BY THE WONDERFUL GUY and he advised on some of the things to do. We made the choice to have dinner at the Riad on a night in and, it changed our world. Beyond that we chose to eat in more than we dined out. Pease do yourself a favor and ask for dinner for at least one night and you won't get enough! The staff are rockstars. We have zero complaints and are already planning a trip back, We made life long friends.
