It all looks so good on the internet but a beautiful ceiling does not make a top quality riad.
There needs to be some investment in maintenace. No keys to the rooms or the outside door. Rooms left open all day. Watch out for hidden taxes. The evening meal we had can only be described as mediocre, and cost 40 euros. We had a much better meal at a restaraunt nearby for less than half the price.
To some up the pace was very 'tired'.

Riad hidden is a beautifully decorated traditional Riad. It offers a tranquil, cool and quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the Jmar El Fna which is only one or two minutes walk away.

The staff at the Riad Hidden were very friendly and helpful. Salma, the owner, had arranged at our requested for a car to collect us from the airport. We were taken to the main square and met by Hassan and his trolley, who then escorted us and our luggage through the crowds to the Riad. Salma was there to welcome us there with mint tea and friendly welcome. She then took the time to explain the layout of the city to us and offered us some advice on Restaurants nearby. We had taken a lonely planet guide with us, but Salma's photo-copied map and notes were all we really needed.

The staff at the Riad also arranged a trip for us to the Cascades D'Ouzoud at very short notice and even provided breakfast for us earlier than normally served so we could meet the bus in time.

Breakfast was a traditional Moroccon affair of pancakes, pastries and fresh orange juice. It was delicious and really helped set us up for the day's exploring and haggling. It was served anytime after 8, I think we had it as late as 10 one day.

We stayed in two rooms while we were there. And both of them were beautifully decorated and had really lovely bathrooms with a large shower. We were originally booked into a downstairs room, but Salma managed to give us 3 nights in the room upstairs with the fantastic green ceiling. My partner had seen this room on the internet, and really had her heart set on it. When it came time to move, all our bags and belongings were moved for us to an equally nice room downstairs.

I really can't recommend the Riad Hidden more highly. It really is an absolute gem of a place. I really hope we get the chance to return one day.

We visited the Riad Hidden for a short trip to Morocco...We were greeted by lovely staff..expecially Mohamad and his little helper Hassan...the Riad was absoloutely magical..the room was really authentic and very clean with some very special touches. The breakfast was very tasty with a good selection of sweet breads etc..We spent an afternoon
on the roof terrace..lazing on the comfy couches..listening to the call to prayer from the nearby mosques..It was magical!!!! We will definantely return one day.
