We stayed at this riad in late December 2011 in the Essaouirra and Fez suites. One room had a double bed while the other had 3 twins on two floors.
The staff were outstanding. We were given a cell phone programmed with the phone numbers of the staff. They were more than happy to meet us and guide us when we got lost (as is inevitable). Hassan would walk us to our destinations. Mustafa was always available, spoke excellent English, and always met every request.
Unlike aerilanderson's experience, we always felt that the staff were available whenever we needed them. Not once did we feel we had to search for them.
Breakfasts were excellent and the always-available mint and cinammon tea were delightful.
The rooftop terrace is comfortable and the central atrium has a propane heater when it cools at night.
The location is just north or the souks and was perfect in the medina.
The rooms were comfortable. The beds were firm but very comfortable.
Bathrooms were adequate though there was never quite enough hot water and on our last day, there was none.
The construction is stone so sound carries. We were usually the last of the guests to retire and felt we had to whisper to avoid bothering the other guests.
The staff arranged a car to meet us at the airport. The driver was late but provided good service. On the return, we waited for 45 minutes for the car to meet us but both Hassan and Mustafa stayed with us and ensured we were cared for. Mustafa even accompanied us to the airport to ensure there were no problems.
Overall, we felt this was a great value and provided an authentic experience.
Despite the water issues, we would return.

we had one of the best moments in our life at the riad cinnamon, Regardless of the fabulous structure and the best situation of the riad in the old Medina, it has a wonderful staff ,Abdou and Mostapha that make our trip fantastic, by there good recommendations of the restaurants and Hamam for us, and also by there well orientations in case we got lost,
The food was very nice and tasteful, prepared and served by cute girls and the handsome Mostafa, that looked after as very well.
And if i come back to Marrakech, i will choose again riad cinnamon, and i recommended the riad for anyone looking for a luxury services, and a nice atmosphere

The property is beautiful and they made us feel like we were at home. The small, intimate atmosphere is so welcoming. The rooms are comfortable for 2, but there were 3 adults in our party and sharing a room was close quarters. That was the only downside. The staff is amazingly helpful and never made us feel like we were being a handful. Their other property, Riad Papillon is equally wonderful - I can't say enough good things about either place. The owners are from the UK (I think) and have done a great job on every detail, including the food, the beautiful decor, and even the recommendations on a nearby hammam. Both riads are in the heart of the kasbah and close to the square and souks. Great place to stay while visiting Marrakech.

Room Tip: Riad Cinnamon is very near a mosque so the call to prayer can be quite loud, especially in the early morning. From Riad Papillon it is not as loud.

My wife and I visited this Riad for six days in late October 2011. We stayed in the ‘Fez’ suit which is primarily a large en-suite room with a small designated seating area. However it was more than adequate for our needs and there are plenty of communal seating areas by the dipping/splash pool or up relaxing on the roof terrace. Our bathroom area was lovely and quirky with a big shower area (easily room enough for two) with an inbuilt stone seat. Our room was very clean on arrival and cleaned every day to a high standard. While we were there all five rooms of the riad were occupied but at no time did it feel crowded. It was, in fact, an area of total relaxation in contrast to the surrounding area which is very crowded and noisy yet still exciting and enjoyable. What would make me most return to this particular riad would be the staff; they were all extremely helpful and attentive without being intrusive. The three young female staff went about their business in such a cheerful manner that it created a happy ambiance throughout the riad. We found the English speaking manager, Abdou, very friendly and helpful with a genuine concern that all guests were happy at all times.

I would suggest, however, that the owners lower their charges for meals at the riad as the high price made us look elsewhere for subsequent meals (we would have loved to have eaten more at the riad (particularity on the roof terrace). Similarly, while I would happily accept a reasonable premium on items within the mini bar, the price asked was simply ridiculous and just meant that we bought all our drinks etc elsewhere (surely a smaller profit for the owner is better than none). I would also suggest that the owners make it clear that the satellite TVs provides no British programmes (I was disappointed that I could not watch a particular programme that I had expected to see during my stay). These are relatively minor issues and only slightly decrease our overall enjoyment of this simple, understated, relaxing and happy riad.

Stayed at a different Riad on first stint in Marrakech but this was much better. Nothing but positive praise for this place. They met us at the edge of the old city and transported the luggage while giving lots of info. Excellent english by most staff. They lent us a mobile to call them if we ever got lost in the maze of streets and alleys. We even had an escort to dinner and home each night, using the phone when dinner was over.

Super friendly staff. Great rooms and food. Room was great and even had an iPod dock for some musical bliss! No request was too much. Only downside I could think of was the odd drip falling from the air con onto our bed head during the night.
