I believe it means "two rooms." But the Riad Bahia Salam uses its very own dictionary, wherein "suite" means "room with a bed--and a small couch." We were very disappointed by that. Whoever took the photos for the website has created a sumptuous image for this hotel that has little connection to reality. It is a cute place, but the rooms are tiny. The "pool" photo you see is some distorted view of a jacuzzi. You are not allowed to have any food/drink in the room. There are pretty much zero amenities--crummy shampoo and shower gel. No pressure in the shower. The pillows wreaked havoc on my neck. The hammam was disappointing. It's all very pretty, but much more modest than the website would have you believe.
The most important thing of all, however: be aware! A riad is a very, very noisy place! You will hear every word that everyone says. On our last night, a group of French tourists arrived, at around midnight. The person at the desk shushed them nonaggressively, to no avail. I marched down the stairs (in my pajamas, barefoot) and yelled at them in French: "on entend tout ici, tout!!" (you hear everything in here!) Ah yes, an unhinged American, pretty good French....
On the plus side, this hotel is very well-located, and the staff is very nice. You will eat the same thing for breakfast every day. I wouldn't stay there again.More
