This restaurant is amongst the Souks in Marrakech, a little difficult to find but there are plenty of signs leading the way.

If it's warm, try to sit on the roof terrace for a nice glass of mint tea/ coffee, it's a very relaxing place away from the hussle and bustle below in the Souks.

Their menu also looks very appetising and good value for money.

My wife and I dined here the night before we left Marrakech. Having had 3 days of exploring the Medina and beyond, we opted for this restaurant based on reputation for quality ingredients made into authentic cuisine (and not priced with "tourist tax" either).

Even though it was a bit cool, maybe upper 50's, we dined on the roof terrace within one of the tented booths that line the sides. The open terrace is quite lovely, and I'm sure this place cranks in the spring and fall months when the weather is optimal.

My wife and I wanted to have some traditional lamb tagine, since we had only had chicken up to this point. We ordered "pastilla de poulet" and "3 salades marocaines" appetizers, with the pastilla combining the sweet and savory flavors perfectly (ask them for some housemade chile pepper sauce, it's outstanding with this dish!). The 3 salads was a combo plate of carrot salad, potato salad, and eggplant salad, very savory and delicious.

For our entree, we shared the "tagine d'agneau pruneaux et amondes" which is traditional combo of lamb, prunes and almonds. A delicious balance of savory and a touch of sweet, with the almonds providing some crunch. This was obviously slow-cooked to perfection, as the "crunchy bits" on the bottom of the clay tagine were seriously addictive - like the prize at the bottom of a Crackerjack box!

You should definitely check this place out as a dining destination, well worth seeking within the confusing streets of the souks!

Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch here - of the best food i had in Marrakech. Lovely big rooftop terrace with a mix of sun and shaded spots. Lamb main course was falling off the bone, chocolate fondant for dessert rivals any i've had. Good service, food and setting = 5 star!

We visited this place on several previous visits, and really enjoyed both the food and the service.

Since then, it has become popular - hardly surprising - but unfortunately the success seems to have had a negative impact.

This time, the place was half-full even though it was really off-season but the staff seemed fairly disinterested. The food was OK, although the lamb 'special' probably contained less lamb than the meal on Royal Air Maroc.

But OK, it was pleasant until it was time to pay. I used a credit card, and suddenly - as I could actually read 'connection in progress' (in French), the manager whipped out my card and said (in English) 'it doesn't work you have to pay cash'.

I don't like being treated as stupid. I did pay cash, and asked (in French) what was the matter with the credit card gizmo. Answer: 'I *said* it didn't work'.

Won't be going back in a hurry.
