I spent one night in Riad Charlott'. Ideal and safe location, in the middle of the Medina and just a few steps away of the busy souks!

When we arrived, we were offered a mint tea and some delicious cookies. The breakfast was absolutely the best during our one week stay in Morocco: five varieties of bread, home made jam, freshly squeezed orange juice, etc.

The room (Chambre Florine) was very cosy and luxury, the patio is beautiful - especially in the evening. Nice 'chill area' downstairs, beautiful roof terrace with great views.

Summary: Recommendable to anyone, modern with authentic character, perfect base to discover Marrakech.

Thank you Jean-Pierre!

Mother and daughter team head to Marrakesh for the first time, and truly enjoyed our one week stay at the wonderfully "modern Moroccan" Riad Charlott', with the host with the most - Jean Pierre and his wonderful team (including Capi the dog:))

As other have said, what you see in the pictures is exactly what you get. just add the following:
- You feel like family from the first hello.
- Going to bed in fresh smelling sheets everyday
- Spacious and beautifully decorated rooms
- Great breakfast with the most amazing jams, juice and yogurt (wish I had some right now).
- Super relaxing massages with a team that knows their stuff!
- Rooftop terrace with a beautiful mountain view and relaxing lounge
- A team that will really look after your every need.
- Feeling safe at the Riad and walking around the Medina and knowing that there will be someone to help you if you do get totally lost.
- "The Map" is the best tool you will ever receive, and Jean Pierre really goes over and beyond with great tips that will really make a difference to your Moroccan experience.

If you are (like I was) totally confused with all the Riads and all the reviews, stay at the Charlott', you will be so happy that you did :)

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautifully decorated, and all have their charm (we did a tour of them all) The most romantic room in my opinion is the Jade suite. (I will stay here next time) The Pierre suite has the most light and an a Amazing chandelier. Florin and Valentin rooms are have a cosy dark more African feel without a tub but with a great fireplace.

We chose Riad Charlott based on the comments and reviews on Tripadvisor. We also wanted to exprience all that Marrakech had to offer. Staying in the heart of the old Medina, we achieved all of that and more. Getting back to the Charlott after the hustle and bustle of the Souks and the Square, was wonderful. Jean Pierre and his team couldn't do enough for us, and were always on hand with any tips or advice on what we could do the next day. The maps that Jean Pierre gave us on the first day proved to be invaluable, and if you stay here, please take the time to listen to him, it will help you!!!! We stayed in the Jade suite with its beautiful, original, highly decorative ceiling. There was space in abundance and we enjoyed a soak in the deep bath at the end of each day. Breakfast was another joy, especially the preserves, the caramel sweet potato in particular. The roof terrace is also a great spot to catch the sun, set above the neighbouring roof tops, you could see for miles around, including to the Atlas Mountains. The photo's on his and this website really do reflect what you will find here-amaziing.

If you are looking for a stay in Marrakech, to soak up the atmosphere and all its traditions, yet still enjoy that little bit of luxury and relaxation, look no further than Riad Charlott!!!

Room Tip: All rooms are beautiful, the Jade is on the ground floor.

We were greeted by the wonderful staff and Jean Pierre on arrival, after being a little lost in the medina. Everything got better from there. The riad is beautifully designed, just like what you see on their website if not better. The staff all have a great smile on their face. And Jean Pierre, he makes you feel like you have just made a friend, and he made sure everything you want is done the way you want. Breakfast in the courtyard was beautiful. Dinner was cooked to order, and it was wonderful too. We just regretted we did not eat there more. We could not have asked for better service. Many thanks to Jean Pierre and all the staff again!!!!!!!

It was a little daunting to be dropped off by the taxi about ten minutes walk from Riad Charlott'. Through narrow winding streets full of stalls and constant motorbikes, donkey carts and bicycles passing at breakneck speed. However on arriving at the oasis which is the Riad Charlott' and the warm welcome from Jean-Pierre, always accompanied by his little dog Kapi, we soon settled in to our sumptuous rooms all of which have been individually designed.
It was not for a couple of days that we discovered how convenient the Riad is for all the Souks and only 5 minutes from Spice Square.
Jean-Pierre soon got used to my mad family - there were nine of us and we took over the whole Riad - we put on a concert, held a treasure hunt and played lots of games and quizzes over our week. It was my 60th birthday.
Marrakech itself held something for everyone. It is a real culture adventure. I have lived in Australia, Hong Kong and Zimbabwe but this was an experience. We had a fabulous day at a Hammam, played two rounds of golf, went dune buggy trekking and ate at some top restaurants and off the cheapest stalls in the Medina. The weather was glorious in the mid twenties every day.
We will definitely go back again. The only problem was fitting all our purchases in our suitcases on the way home.
One last comment about Jean-Pierre. Nothing was too much trouble. He booked our restaurant tables, suggested places and outings, arranged taxis and was the perfect host. If I could have fitted Kapi into my suitcase he would have been living with me in London now!

Room Tip: All rooms are good but some have full baths and some are showers only.
