“Morocco Through the Lens”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

Photography isn't really the thing you go for in Morocco, yet this place gives you a very interesting sight on Moroccan culture. Terrasse is nice, but do not expect for a great view, all you can see are roofs of surrounding buildings.
Admission fee is 40 dirhams and your ticket is valid for multiple visits.
Don't forget to buy the post cards at the entrance, the nicest ones you could get in Marrakech.

“A wonderful view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

While Maison de la Photographie may be a bit hard to find, it is definitely worth the effort. The museum is full of wonderful photos showing the history of Morrocco and the staff were charming.

The crowning jewel though is the rooftop restaurant. The food is a 3 course set menu and delicious, if you get lucky ensure you have the lemon chicken tagine. At just D80, £8, it is cheap and very filling and while you are eating you get one of the best panoramic views of the city.

The entrance fee is D40, £4, but this allows you to come and go as many times as you like during your stay so make sure you keep the ticket as it is well worth going again.

“A Little Gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

Tucked away in a back street, the Maison de la Photograpie is a lovely little gallery of old photos. I was particularly delighted to see some photos there by George Washington Wilson.A definite must see.

“Lovely collection of B&W prints depicting Moroccan culture”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

This is worth a visit, although a little difficult to find but persevere as its worth it to see the many well presented images in a converted traditional riad.

“best museum in Marrakech!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

It's a beautiful house full of interesting pictures about the history of Morocco. The best of all: the terrace!!!
Take a cup of tea while you are enjoying the 360º of views!
The service is excellent and they also organize one-day trips to the mountains!
