Thanks to man from museum we got wonderful background to interesting reflections about history of Morocco. He told us about wonderful pictures and stories related with. Thanks.

After visiting museum, go to the roof. Stunning views like from Riads. And tasty food. You can plan lunch there during your cityviews.

“Nothing has changed”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

This place is easy to find as it is a ten minute walk down from the Ben Youseff school. It has a good display of photos of Morocco between 1870 and 1950. It is obvious nothing much has changed, except the clothing, as there is no evidence of jeans, t-shirts and western clothes. The display is well set out over three floors. There isn't a great number of photos, but what they do have is interesting. The documentary playing on the second floor is particularly interesting as it shows village life in the 1950s or round about that time. There is a view from the rooftop looking out over Marrekesh (roofs and satellite dishes).

we liked everything.. from staff trained to explain the exhibitions to European women.. (respect and multi-lingual) , to the quality of the photos on show, to the Terrace cafe - about £10 for the Plat du jour.

“Fabulous view into the history of Morocco”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

Wonderful collection of photographs, displayed in a very sympathetic way. You get a real sense of the history of Morocco. It is a lovely building and the roof terrace is a nice relaxing place for a drink or lunch.

“Nice place, great rooftop terrace”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

Very cheap entrance fee, lots of great black and white photography to view. A nice break from being out in the heat to just chill and look around this place. Great terrace for lovely hibiscus tea!
